  • We planted 19 tomato plants: San Marzano, Roma, and Beefsteak. This year we started off right with tall stakes, pruned plants grown from seed, and mulching. Our goal is to have the tallest, highest yielding vines we have ever planted. What are your tomato goals for 2021?

    >.< 19 tomatoes! Heaven. I planted : Cherokee Purple, German Pink( i think?), Black Krim, Early Girl, and a few from seeds i had saved from mystery tomatoes last year. My goal is to not over crowd them this year and actually get some tomatoes. Last year was a bust!

Those sound great! We overcrowded ours last year too, as well as planting them so late that they grew big just in time for the hot summer when they couldn't fruit well. We learned a lot and hope to get a lot more this year too! We are thinking we will make a "what we learned" video about our tomatoes from last year soon.
