How to the actual taillights change patterns like it looks like you had them set to fill on breaking I’m guessing ?

When ya break, it flickers then runs the pattern after ya release break. The halos around the taillights runs off of a Bluetooth app on my phone. Does lots of different patterns.

Do these affect the light output of the headlights? Looks like they take up quite a bit of real estate on the lens.
