I suppose instead of “too old and bland” or “too new and flashy” a better rating scale would be “do they need to make a change / did they make a decent change.” Think the colts are fine- their brand is consistency so I’m ok with their uniforms. The Commanders are at the start of a rebrand- they get one point for making the change, but they don’t get an extra point for making a change to a good uniform.

Honestly, I think that jersey would be incredible if it were on a different team that uses black as their main color, like the Steelers. But with black being the predominant color, they think it doesn’t make sense. By itself, the Jersey is lit. But on the Commanders, it doesn’t mesh with their history.
Replace the Rams and Commanders jerseys with the Cowboys jersey and I'll agree with you. I understand that it has historical significance, but the Cowboys jerseys even today are just so bland and uninteresting that they just bore me everytime I see them.
