I keep shoving myself towards this piano, it seems to have all I need with little I don't, and it's friendly on the pocket. It should see me from complete never seen a piano learner to Carnegie Hall...

Can i say... its so frustratign when you just want to hear the PIANO sounds on the electric PIANO and so many reviewers just skip over it. I couldn't care a rip about the organ or the synth sounds... I am here for the PIANO sounds on the PIANO... there are 4 piano sounds - I want to hear them....

My fingers hurt so bad because i have to smash the right hand keys because i can hardly hear them, the left hand is loud but the right hand notes are so soft and light

Waited to purchase a nice guitar until I had learned on a less expensive instrument. The FP-10 costs more than my upgraded guitar. Trying to convince myself (and my wife) that this is a good price range for a beginner to start with. If i follow my heart and purchase, I doubt I'll ever need to upgrade at least!

@@TheBaaLambChampion I did, but went in a different direction. Lots of TH-cam reviews later, I ended up purchasing a Yamaha P-125. Very happy with the purchase. I never got to test the Roland in person, so had to depend on reviews. Practicing 4-5 days a week using the Simply Piano app, and Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course book #1.
As for the $$, found a 3 yr no interest deal that made payments affordable. Looking forward to today's practice time!

Thank you. One thing missing: how to check the firmware version. I'm used to checking and updating on synths and PCs but it's not obvious on the FP-10.

Can someone give me a solution? Should I buy a headphones amplifier? Or get a better set of headphones? Thanks in advance

Most of us don't have iPads, so making a video that mostly focuses on the app is pretty pointless. I wanted to listen to the sounds that the piano has built-in, not what the app is like.

It will also work with your phone and most of us do have those. I don't have a tablet but do have an iPhone 6s and this app works perfectly. I'm sure it's a bit easier with a tablet due to the larger screen, but a phone will get the job done.

How about the clicking noise of the keys? For some reason, none of the
reviewers dont mentions this misunderstanding. After a week of using the
FP-10, the keys start to click. This is due to the mechanics of the
keyboard and the using of grease under the keys. The problem is very
common, there are many discussions on Reddit about this. Owned FP10, the
key click problem was confirmed. Loved this instrument, but this
clicking issue is really disappointing. Roland needs fp10 quality
    control.

@@jazzua-background-music Consider yourself lucky. I've seen dozens of reviews from people claiming the keys make a clicking noise after only a few months of use. There are even people who've been through two or three of them all with the same defect.
It's a design flaw and they're all built the same way. I suspect you'll probably run into the same problem sooner or later unless it's not actually a Roland FP-10.
