  • DECKED has introduced the first true modern pickup truck tool box in years. Made from high impact polymer resin, it's impossible to dent but easy to love. Totally waterproof, incredibly secure, and best of all comes, with a deployable ladder making access to your tools and gear easy and convenient. What's more, it just looks really tough in a "this isn't diamond plate" sort of way.
    The Tool Box ships FREE to customers in the continental United States.

    This is a VERY solid unit! I personally know because I’ve worked at DECKED in Defiance, OH! I’ve gotten to see all of the stages of the tool box from when it was an idea to the testing to the final product! It’s strong, rugged and built to last!

    You guys are onto something here. Some things to consider: 1: the ladder idea is awesome - consider having one on each side, perhaps? 2: Emphasize that the ladder not only gives great access to getting into the tool box, but hello, it also gives access to the pick-up bed, in general (toss a tool or rope into the bed, out of reach, then show using the ladder to retrieve it - oh yeah!). 3: since it is molded, what if you molded the truck make nameplate into the lid (I.e., “FORD”, or “GMC” etc). And 4. And this is a question; how does the ladder work without getting tweaked or damaged, if the ground is uneven where it makes contact, where one leg is not touching the ground? Maybe make the bottom have a single point of contact, so this wouldn’t be a concern? And last, what kind of warranty does it have? The ladder is the coolest thing ever - and I want one of these, but the ladder isn’t going to last without getting twisted/tweaked the way it is now, seems to me. Great job though - I want one, if you can convince me/give a lifetime warranty on the ladder.

    What is keeping someone from getting your stuff in the decked drawer system by using a sawsall or circular saw ripping the top off of the plastic top? Is there a galvanized steel "hat" in the decked drawer system, too?

    • @Decked
      @Decked  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Drawer System has a steel subframe, that ribs the underside of your top panels!

    • @yellowmanusa
      @yellowmanusa ปีที่แล้ว

      So in-between the steel subframe it can be cut open and my stuff taken out? Or is the frame like a grated pattern tightly woven so that if the plastic top floor is cut open, no one will be able to retrieve my stuff.
      I ask because I am wanting to store my rifle(s) and various expensive equipment therein. If someone can rip a saw straight across in a rectangular shape, I want to know if they'll be able to just lift up on the plastic board and pull all of my equipment out or not. Can you show a video of what is underneath the table top?

    I can't find your email so I'll just comment here.
    I like the tool box but I would like to have the ladder on the driver's side.
    Also, can the box be mounted with a lumber rack in use?

      @Decked  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Joel. The ladder only works on the passenger side as a safety measure if you were to be pulled over on the side of the road. The Tool Box may work with you rack, it just depends on how the rack is connected to your truck. The Tool Box is secured to the bedrails but give us a call at 208.806.0251 to ensure fitment.

    Meh give me one with drawers vs deep and on tracks that I can't pull to the back to work out of.. I don't know why nobody offers this

      Man, that’s a great idea- having drawers and being able to “slide” it to the back of the pick-up bed! That & the ladder. I’m 62 and have bad knees, so getting into the bed is very difficult for me.

    "we did the best we could" but it's not "Fort Knox" please tell me I didn't just hear you say that, I didn't think y'all could make me any more PO'd all in the same AD, what are people paying for if this thing isn't a safe disguised as a truck tool box.

  • @OnThe23rd

    Awesome box, but if that lock can be raked open by anybody with little to no lockpicking experience everything else about the box is kinda useless.
    Also, what's a safe weight rating on those two tie down points?

    • @Decked
      @Decked  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! The DECKED Truck Tool Box has a robust lock and latch system making forced entry nearly impossible. Tub-lid interface minimizes theft pry bar points. A single lock secures multiple latch points.
      The tie down points are insanely robust. You are more likely to pull the whole Tool Box out before damaging the tie downs.

    • @OnThe23rd
      @OnThe23rd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Decked How many pins is the lock? Are there any security pins? If it's a four-five pin lock with no security pins it's pretty much useless. And I assume pulling the whole box out would damage either the hardware or the bed rails, which is why I am curious what a safe load on the tie down points is, in order to avoid that.

    • @Decked
      @Decked  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OnThe23rd it's a standard lock so yes, the Lock Picking Lawyer could probably get in. I will do my best to find out what the exact weight rating on the tie downs is and loop back.

    This is a great and all, but where's the real world reviews? People are saying the drawer system doesn't last more than 3 months. For $900 your product better last the life of the vehicle!

      We developed an engineered, state of the art tool box which in our research solved the problems people had with their current tool boxes. We discovered that a high impact resistant polymer resin reinforced with steel and aluminum would create a dent-proof, waterproof, and long lasting product- it's basically a Pelican case on steroids. And that is what we are selling for as affordably as we can possibly produce it, making it all right here in the USA. We realize it's not for everyone, but it is backed by a lifetime warranty and a satisfaction guarantee. If you are the kind of person who buys the best and buys it once, it's a perfect solution to your tool box needs.

    An guess what genius's, I don't no anyone who has a truck tool box that doesn't also have a step ladder. Your really charging hard working folks about 200$ for a ladder that's not even long enough to save my life on the ground floor if a fire breaks out at my house
