Yep, I'm a mug collector. Just got one today from my brother for Christmas that's got the original PlayStation logo on it but the handle is in the shape of the original controller. It made me smile, a good addition to my collection 🙂
Tim, I think to all of us you are in some way an inspiration, the true embodiment of “You can be anything” or do anything you want if you try hard enough. Maybe you are just some old man to some but thanks to you ive smiled in some not so ok times, you have indirectly helped me a lot and just by being who you are. Thank you for the videos and wholesome content. Its always something I look forward to and am never disappointed by.
Tim has a collection of literally everything and it scares me, he probably has a collection of nuclear warheads in his garage along with men in black space guns in his basement.
"Here's a rare one - this was some limited edition plutonium I got from Russia in 1992. Had to talk to a Russian chap I knew, but that was before they put in export controls. Heh!"
"you can drink away at your hearts content. Pack it up at the end and put it in your pocket and go home. What a lovely concept." Brilliant indeed. Especially the going home bit.
Ships have their own instruments for determining such things, though. The image on the bottom of the cup would seem to support your explanation, but it seems strange to me. Now I am rather confused, haha.
@@anonymousaccordionist3326 I'd think passengers on a cruise ship use it as a kind of gimmick maybe? It's probably being sold in the tourist shops on board
When I was little, my Granny and Grandpa owned a mug which played Somewhere Over the Rainbow. They used to give me tea in it. I absolutely loved that mug and I wish I had it; I don’t know where it would have gone, now.
We used to have a mug that played the Love Story theme, I think it had a cloud with a rainbow on the side, I was obsessed with it when I was a kid, it was my nan's. I wonder what ever happened to that, I really liked it.
You need to add one more cup to your collection, one that changes colour according to the temperature of the liquid. I bought a glass mug in Tokyo with a picture that reveals pink Sakura flowers when you pour something hot in and reveals blue snowflakes and ice on Mt Fuji when you pour a cold drink in.
I AM a mug collector - of sorts. My collection is never going to rival Tim's, of course. But I do own two of these cups which I think I purchased from Grand Illusions. They were called Pythagoras cups.
"A love story theme, and quite a sweet one." Not exactly how I'd describe Immortal Technique's "Dance with the Devil" but to each their own I suppose. Lmao
Still learning the new video editing software - DaVinci Resolve. Made a mistake, which meant that part of the video was not rendered, and therefore not uploaded. And as Christmas Day was the one day I was out of the office, I couldn't fix it until today. :-)
My dad used to have these highball glasses (at least, I _think_ that's what they were) that he always used as pen cups, but they'd play the Notre Dame (American football) fight song when you picked 'em up.
What am I supposed to do with my newfound appreciation of mugs? Like Tim you ruined my life. I used to wake up absolutely fine, have my tea or coffee and go to work in a good mood, now I look at my boring mugs and get depressed. All white, no patterns, no siphons, no mirrors. Amazon better stock up because I'm hitting a spree.
9:45 This is one of the many ancient Greek inventions to use hydraulic physics, in this case to promote moderation in drinking. Many other fascinating examples are on demonstration at the Museum of Ancient Greek Technology in Athens.
Dear Tim! You are the best! So not to disrespect you or anything, but that is not the way to drink from a sake cup; you drink where two edges meet - you hold the cup diagonally, and there you are. ;) Welcome. Its not awkward anymore.
Who is the next 'best' youtuber to his age, with more than a million subs? Is there any? Or is he atop itt all? Seriously, does anyone know any other such aged youtuber with 1.36 mill subs???

@@anonymousaccordionist3326 currants are grapes, semantics... Just sounded like he said "It's f*cking awkward." I just couldn't think of what else he could have said.
It suddenly becomes clear to me why he called the Snorlax in the hammock with the Pikachu's "a mother cat and her kittens"... Most people chose to believe he didn't know what they were but it seems to me this channel is very 'packaged'.
Yeah the UKs advertising laws are a bit outdated and vague so a lot of UK based folks are very careful about those things. Remember that his company has been around for quite awhile so this is technically a company production.

That sounds like an awesome mug.
This wouldn't be complete if I didn't throw the far superior PCmasterracemug or "smug" for short in.
Are you the same guy from Reddit?
Haha my mate just picked one up for Christmas 😂

i can’t believe tim carefully used the jug for the syphon cups, to then let the last one just straight up empty onto the tray. absolute madness
The jug was just to keep the liquid to reuse. Because it was the last one they didn't need to reuse
Tim has a collection of literally everything and it scares me, he probably has a collection of nuclear warheads in his garage along with men in black space guns in his basement.
Somehow the space guns seem more in character for him. There isn't really a lot of clever ways of making a nuke.

How can you downvote this video it's so wholesome and relaxing
Such is our kind that there's people miserable enough to dislike absolutely anything, unfortunately.
It's the Nile River has gained sentience and keeps down voting it in multiple accounts
Tim has many old enemies.....
this isn't reddit
They had much drink they misclicked- if this is even a word

There's not many people that can get me watching a 15 minute video about different mug.

I think the mug at 2:12 is used on ships to see when the ship is level or not, but I like Tim's explanation a lot more
