Hey also a question here: trying to figure out if you have to buy bus tickets online from Butterworth to Kuala Kedah. How did you buy your bus tickets?
Yes definitely buy bus tickets ahead of time. We used easybook which also had an app so I could book a few days ahead and my tickets were on the app and did not have to print them out.
I'm in Georgetown, trying to figure out how to get to langkawi next week (cheaply). This is exactly what I needed. Lifesaver! Also...How much was the bus+ferry per person? I can't find anything online...
I think there's a free ferry service from Penang to Kuala Kedah. Frlm there you can take the next ferry to langkawi
Sure?

13RM per person bus from Buttetworth to alor setar, then a taxi which was maybe 20RM and I think the ferry was roughly 25RM
