Before you comment something along the lines of “no”, either state your reason or don’t comment it. I just bought a SSD and I will make an MSFS video next weekend.
I love x-plane 12 (with the right mods). I realllly want to love MSFS. There is no mistake msfs graphics are second to none. But at the end of the day , for whatever reason, xp12 gets me way more immersed in the overall flight experience. I don't know how Austin and the team does it but my hats off to them.

i think it's just the way the planes behave in x-plane - it just feels way more realistic- for example the PMDG 737 has a lot of functionality and hats off to them, however the ZIBO which is free has better sounds and functionality .
also the wing physics are terrible in the PMDG
i don't have x-plane , but i have flew the planes on the mobile game. i feel the same. but the x-plane graphics were too shit to buy it for 60 dollars. plus it's about the same thing as x-plane 11. all the mods are the same. and the graphics aren't different apart from the clouds. and the default scenery looks like fsx.

Both are good, but if we are just going to talk visuals, MSFS2020 doesn't have ANY competition so far.
When there is only fields without houses and you have x plane 12 with autoortho and simheaven it's difficult to distinguish both simulators. Even x plane 12 looks better. And at night x plane it's the best sim ever
I feel x plane is a lot less efficient in terms of storage space. If you want to make it look good you'll need to have atleast 50GB extra while msfs is around 150gb then thats it.@@pilotoexperto
@@pilotoexperto So for x-plane you need an add-on, to make an open field look as good as default MSFS? And what about the rest of the world, where houses and buildings live, like cities?
@@marian8757 you're right but you also need an addon in mfs 2020 to have the same physics as in x plane. There is another huge addon that brings lots of forests, bridgest, houses, churchs, etc. for x plane 12, it's called simheaven. Plus in x plane 12 you have more addon planes and with higher quality and also the 737 and max 8 for completely free
Well... I like to think that MSFS graphics seem... Cartoony-ish it is just my opinion but It only at times ACTUALLY looks like real life. Basically: MSFS looks cartoony but in my opnion I like X-Plane 12's new HDR lightning better than MSFS Graphics. But hey! It's your opnion :)
I love both sims. MSFS for fun and great landscape, X-Plane 12 for lights, atmosphere, flying feelings.

More and more developers are leaving XP 12 every few months. XP 12 is on life support now.
Xplane has some features I wish MSFS would add, but I won't be going back any time soon. In fact I uninstalled XP12. The sheer amount of hard drive space required for it to look anywhere near the level that MSFS does by default is staggering.

Wow, this looks good. What kind of graphics card are you using? I can never get my sims to look this good, even after upgrading graphics cards.
I personally think MSFS is better because the colors aren’t too vibrant, unlike in this video, along with MSFS having more attention to detail on the ground, houses, fields, and citys.

zibo is already compatible since early access but thats not zibo thats levelup737 mod

@@stellarthings3435 Oh nice. So no bugs or anything? If I remember correctly, they didn't officially provide X-Plane 12 compatibility for the aircraft unlike the Zibo mod.

when you start the engines make sure to send fuel once the n2 number reaches 20. not directly after starting ignition.

If this is xplane 12, when did they fix the anti aliasing (textures)??? Yours looks amazing!
Its a simple fix in settings, search q8pilot shadow fix and you should get a tutorial

No, in the fms he set flap 5, and during takeoff instead of flaps 5 he set flaps 2.

I think it's a matter of taste and what one is looking for in a simulator. I know it is cliché at this point, but if you're looking for superior graphics, MSFS is for you. If you want a fly simulator that's pretty close to real-world flight modeling, then XP12 is for you.
I have criticisms for both and get different things from one that I don't get from the other. For example, I think XP’s airfield lighting, markings, taxiways, and runways are far more superior than that of MSFS. Someone here made a comment about needing add-ons to make XP match MSFS’s default airport’s. This is not quite true, at least in my opinion.
For example, look at MSFS’s default runways, taxiways, lights, and markings; and then look at XP12’s. There's no comparison. Also, with XP, you get a better sense of the width of runways when lined up or coming in for landings. MSFS runways are too narrow, and the lights and markings are trash. I had to buy custom MSFS airports to achieve what I get in XP (runway/taixiway textures, etc). Sure, you want airport buildings and surrounding buildings to be pretty accurate and look nice, but let's face it: if your piloting, you pay more attention to aviation ques than careing about whether or not a Starbucks is missing a mile down the road from the airport.
Now, XP does have graphical problems. I hate the anti-aliasing in XP. It's a huge problem. There's also a lot of shimmering going on in XP that you don't get an MSFS. The clouds in MSFS is far more superior over XP. But I do think MSFS coloring and lighting scheme is quite saturated compared to XP. It's this saturation that gives MSFS that cartoon-like appearance.
So I like and dislike both. This is why I have both sims: to facilitate the things I need from one or the other.
I have both and i have not flown MSFS in the last 6 months Xplane is much easier to setup and make changes and the updates for MSFS takes so long and have this weird bandwidth limit that keeps going back to 5 Mb/s for me even when i set it to unlimited . Xplane 12 is improving monthly and the owners and developers are reachable Microsoft not so much. I have MSFS standard what pisses me off is that if i want to fly the dream liner i have to purchase the higher version of MSFS, i can't buy the airplane .. sucks
I'm not convinced about this 'real-world' flight modeling in x-plane. All too often I see flights with what seems like zero turbulence. You look out the cockpit coming in for a landing, and hardly any movement of the horizon. Yet, you look at actual videos of landings, and there's movement similar to what I've seen in MSFS. Something that noticeable and I'm unconvinced.
I'm sure there are adjustments, but a sim that claims to be as close to real life as x-plane does should be convincing out of the box.
I use both and think both are great 🙂

Fly what you like and determine quality as you see it
When deciding which game is better, you have to realize that you have to take multiple things into account, such as aircraft selection, graphics, physics, price, airports, weather, etc. I personally like msfs more because it’s good for VFR flight and has one great default aircraft that have great textures. although I’ll be honest, X-plane is probably better than msfs by a small bit, as it has better physics, it’s less demanding, it has better default airports, and is less expensive. But at the end of the day, you personal preference is what decides which you like more, so remember, people are entitled to their own opinions and those opinions must be respected whether you agree with their opinion or not.

i'm surprised the LU worked for you in 12. it's not compatible and once you fly the zibo B738 you'll notice a lot of the issues. I used to fly MSFS and X-Plane, but I've since removed MSFS from my PC entirely. have not regretted it at all. X-Plane 12 offers a more fulfilling experience to me, and with ortho, it looks around 90% as good, with less stutters and lag. plus, good long haul airplanes.

how I see it is both are amazing sims I've played multiple hours on fs2020 and x-plane 12 and x-plane 11, both have their ups and downs for example lets just be real here comparing both sims stock side by side Fs2020 takes the win easily with graphics and what it offers at stock level, however if we talk about aircraft models and like addons and modding in general I feel X-plane wins, only for now tho because Microsoft Flight sim 2020 is catching up real fast, Either way I don't pick 1 as I said I played both types of sims and I enjoy both
If msfs fixed these for problems, it would win for me:
- Really bad default aircraft (and most addon aircraft)
- Bad flight model
- Huge input lag
- Wheels sinking into the ground while landing
@@stellarthings3435 True but as I said in my comment both have their flaws atm I'm just using Microsoft Flight sim because it offers such good graphics at what 150gb stock, now depends you can get orbx and all that but I dont got the current space for stuff like ortho that could take up to 2 to 300 hundred gb of space up, Again I like both its just if I had the space for X-plane I would reinstall it with ortho but atm Ill stick to fs 2020 :D Thing what i can't get is why do people argue on sims? like in general like idc what sim you play if you like it and you prefer it over a sim thats cool but then you get people who just hate on others that play other game's, now dont think I'm aiming at you but just other people ya know

@@saminaneen perfect scenery is a huge overstatement. Msfs’ ortho is loaded automatically, and apart from that, you would have to download all the landmarks from content manager. I would say in X Plane, the autogen is much better ( not trees though I use global forests ) and the default airports are better. I know you would have to download these, but the size of downloading these only matches the default msfs size; simply simheaven and ortho4xp tiles; they will make the default scenery look better than msfs in my opinion. Yeah so scenery is a simple fix, let’s talk about aircraft and physics shall we?
I play both Mfs and Xplane 12 .. Xplane 12 look like RFS mobile game.. but im still enjoy it .. Mfs still win , Xplane just their sound more better than mfs ..

the only thing that stands out to me about xp12 vs MSFS2020 is that the AI landings/aircraft look so much better in XP. but thats it

Cant speak about fixed wings but after two years of MFS I've uninstalled and I don't miss it. Even releasing native helis the physics still sucks!

As a real life helicopter mechanic for over 25 years, I would like to know what your basis is for saying that helicopters suck in MSFS. I have flown them since before the native support and while there are some issues, yes, the flight dynamics are up to the respective developers. The HPG fleet of helicopters for example are top of the line, and the Cowansim Bell 206L3 flies like it should having worked on and flown in them many times in my career, so again, I'd like to know what your basing your opinions on. If it is just Xplane vs MSFS bias say so, as I think both are quite close to the real thing however, DCS is still above both in terms of system fidelity and flight dynamics for helicopters, so if you are looking for the true best helicopter simulation, I'd start with the DCS:World Huey and go from there but be preprepared for a steep learning curve.

First of all: I've never got into DCS because sergio from Helisimmer write a review saying that helis didn't even had ETL effect. Perhaps they've changed, but the last info I got was that. @ImpendingJoker
Now lets head to MFS. Have in mind that my analysis isnt based in individual helis, is a combination of all of them.@@ImpendingJoker
1 - MFS native Bell 407 wont overtorque until this day.
2- MFS coulnt create a proper coding to developers to bind a governor key.
3 - Most of MFS helis have static skids, and you wont feel the weight of the aircraft
4 -During speed reduction most of the helis don't fail to settle with power how it should in real life, they recover impossible G Forces.@@ImpendingJoker

So just because someone doesn't agree with you that makes them a hater? I have Xplane 12, DCS:World, IL-2 Sturmovic Great Battles, and MSFS, and still fly things like Ace Combat, Project Wingman, and HAWX. You're in an echo chamber it seems and lack objectivity. XPlane can not hope to compete with MSFS on any level, and those saying that the flight physics in MSFS are too arcadey most likely have never been behind the controls of a real airplane in their lives. The 737 has so many systems in it in real life to keep it stable, to say that it runs on rail in MSFS and not in XPlane is laughable because that is exactly how it SHOULD fly in real life. It's the same with modern helicopters. Computers do all the flying and the pilots just move the flight controls around, it's even worse when talking about Airbus aircraft.@@stellarthings3435

No. Graphics are are horrendous on XP even with mods. MSFS has raised everyone's expectations in terms of visuals and accuracy. You know that when you see something on the ground in MSFS, you know that represents something real in the real world. On XP12 you ignore everything because you know it's most likely made up. And that takes you out of that pleasant experience of flight simming.
Xp horrendous graphics? you need new glasses dude. I'm agreed with you that msfs stablished a new standard on top graphics but X-plane looks good to me too..

Graphics are too bright and colours too vivid. I used XP10 for years but MSFS for me now with a good spec rig and no going back. XP looks too cartoony. It was good in its day. MSFS all the way.
