    Finally someone who spoke to the studio 54 heritage! Beautiful.

      Maybe everyone else is too young to remember! I remember Bianca on a horse in Studio 54!

    The grey one used with a small brush as an eyeliner is fabulous on my hooded eyes , I am delighted with these, just want more colors

    these are very beautiful shadows! Love how they dry quickly but not too quickly. Thank you for showcasing these for us. I love the sound of the rain, don't hear it very much here in Colorado, only in the summer - mostly snow for me in the Rockies. I like the sheared out look the best ( or at least I think I will due to my crepey texture at 57). Hope you have a Merry Christmas.

    Great history lesson. I am old enough to remember studio 54 (now a theatre), Disco balls and all the divas that dominated those eras. Thanks for the thoughtful approach to sheering them out. So pretty. Liza would be too dramatic for me but your application makes me curious if I could pull it off.

    Thank you for investing in these Lurex shadows. I like the mix of Bianca and Liza. I am getting FOMO for these, although I can reproduce this look with shadows I already have, and with less fussing. Liquid shimmer shadows are always so tempting but after a few uses, starting with a few frustrating tries, they get relegated to a drawer where they dry up - then get thrown out. So, I am going to wait and see whether they make it on various December favorites lists. Thanks again.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same! In fact, I was going to do comparison swatches and then I found I had thrown my others away for the same reason - fussy and dried up. But there's something different about this formula that I can't put my finger on. I really love, for my skin tone, Anjelica for a daily look - or I could do a peachy blush on the eye and add a touch of Angelica. I'm surprised how much I liked them!

      @jocelynel-fab5214 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheHoodedLid Thank you for replying ! Anjelica is a great every day shade. OK, so my FOMO is back. I want Bianca because I am always seeking shades that can lighten and brighten my deep-set eyes.

      As a person with hooded eyes, who loves shines/sparkly I could not wait and got these. I can only recommend them. These are fabulous for hooded eyes, and so much better than any other liquid shadow I ever tried ( much better than Stila). The Liza one makes a fab eyeliner too if you apply with a very small brush

    I have them all, and the thing that surprises and delights me most is how they can be blended so easily and beautifully even above the eyelid. I never use shimmer in my crease/above but somehow these look amazing. I’d love a champagne colour, plus maybe an olive or emerald green…and I’m 99% taupe eyes normally 😂 Lisa is a genius. She’s made makeup really fun again for me. ❤️

    I picked up 4 of these but 2 are going to one of my daughters. I appreciate the history having just turned 60. I find these easy to apply with fingers and they last pretty well.

    I love the Bianca Look ... enhances your eye colour. I'm hopeless with eye shadow, can't even
    get both eyes looking the same, perhaps I should do (like you above) one col. & blend out !!

      I think it's worth a try and I think a one shadow look can be very chic!

    • @AllyKit
      @AllyKit 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Marie. After you try this one, may I suggest the Bobbi Brown eye shadow stick in the shade Golden Pink which is kind of a pale rose gold that I think would look good on any eye color. It has a very slight shimmer that brightens the eye without screaming glitter. It’s a great daytime one-and-done for mature eyes that makes you look put together without looking like you put in too much effort. And it really is easy. All you need is a finger to blend out, you can’t mess it up. Stays all day, travels well and the minis are only $14. She has other great colors but the Golden Pink is just such a fresh look. Speaking from a hooded lid, textured skin person who is terrible at blending shadows.

    I got Angelica and I love it. I think I will need to go back for more. I definitely find I like them better than Stila and elf.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Elf's is just awful. I bought it for a possible drugstore video and tossed it - it's so patchy and yet offers little payoff!

  • @tamipie
    @tamipie 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I really like the Stila ones, I tried (Revlon?) and it was disappointing. I feel like I get a better result using Pat McGrath shadows with a little water.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The reason I didn't get the Gold or Copper is I felt I had those in my PML shadows - but there's no fallout with with this.

  • @ariannefowler455
    @ariannefowler455 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I bought Bianca, Anjelica and Diana. I wish I had purchased Liza instead of Diana because I have things similar to the color Diana, not necessarily the formula. Also, there is some versatility with Liza since it can be used to smoke out the eye or used as a liner. Bianca and Anjelica are similar but those are my colors so I will keep both.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I felt that way about Diana and Lauren - both have been done to death - but Liza...I like her!

    You look beautiful in all the colors! Did you find any irritation? I ask because your eyes looked red. I suffer from angry red eyes because of allergies and i was wondering if these would aggravate. Thanks

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No irritation at all - super comfortable. They may have been red because my eye skin is always a bit red - but I wore for a couple of days with no issues at all.

  • @mizzymo64

    Thank you for trying these and I'm so happy you chose Liza. When I first saw this I thought it would be a really nice "smokey" eye option for those of us that look ridiculous when we try to use lots of heavy eye make up. It looks lovely on you and I like the idea of building it to a level of drama that you're comfortable with.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @AllyKit

    I imagine the Diana was inspired by Diana Ross? It probably looks stunning on a darker skinned person but I know I couldn’t get away with it. The Bianca though, looks made for green eyes.

    These remind me of the Sidney grace liquid shadows. Sydney Grace is so much more affordable so I'll stick with those.
