i just had a Cork Sport OCC installed in my 2019 MAZDA CX 5 today. It will keep about 90& of the crankcase vapors off the intake valves. And every 30,000 miles I'll have my dealer hook up a BG fluid cleaner system to my intake manifold to clean the intake valves. Every 3 months I put a bottle of CHEVRON Techron injector cleaner in a tank of gas. It has worked well in all of my cars for years.
Hi brother I have the same set up and what I have noticed that on my 1988 mazda b2200 has an oil spill from the crankcase air breather. What could be causing that?
I just installed the same one on my 89 b2200 last night. Checked the can this morning and there was about 3 ounces of water, what do you think it is coming from? Engine was rebuilt 8 months ago…
Mitch have you ever unscrewed the dipstick (catch can) while the truck is idling? slowly lift dipstick from can you should notice a difference in idle speed. If the truck runs better from increase of air does this mean the air emulsion tubes need to have larger holes?
Yes I have, and when I did it produced a vacuum leak and didn't run well. If anything on yours, if it ran better, I may suggest you up the size of the primary idle jet.
@@MazdaMitch Does the primary idle jet control air flow? When I did this , The engine revs picked up a bit and the very low idle thump that causing engine to shake slightly stopped completely. this was with the dipstick unscrewed and barely lifted from can. As I lift the dipstick out it increased the revs to a point then the effects are lost as too much air has been added from the induced vacuum leak. Also any suggestions for primary idle jet size?
The link to purchase one is in the VIDEO DESCRIPTION. Also do not use the hoses that come with it as they will collapse on vacuum. Get some better thicker hoses like I did. There is no special fitting that was used the replace the PCV, its the stock PCV goes right into the hose.
Do you have a little filter on top of your valve cover like mine or is it stock? Mine has a little filter and no it doesn't leak oil there. Originally there was a hose going into the air filter contraption. A lot of the times oil would pool inside so it's kind of normal, but if it's excessive, it could be a lot of engine blow by due to worn rings.
Hey Mitch I have 2 Mazda’s as well that I’m slowly rebuilding as mini truck projects. An 87 Xcab b2 I’ve had for 15yrs+ & my 88 shortcab b22 I got roughly 6 months ago. I wouldn’t mind chatting some do you have Instagram?

@@blakebeshires5859 Depends on your setup, I run a 70.
Hi, Nice set up!
May I ask what size of hose for OCC?
Where you buy them?
The auto store, any, I think it's 3/8 hose
Where did find your catch can and fitting that was used to replace PCV
