Nice surprise to see you review the trail in my back yard. Tilted Mesa has been a community endeavor and is a great system to ride short runs or just hike. Thanks Ron.

Yes it’s a great region to ride! And I am also glad to see that all the trails are now on Trailforks so bikers new to the area can see the full range of trails. Thanks for watching!

I like your videos a lot. I now have to live my mountain bike life through them as I'm having elbow replacement surgery on January 11th. So no more mountain biking forever. I'll have to stay on a road

Wow! Forever? No rehab possibilities? Major bummer! I have a bad knee and have been contemplating knee replacement for a few years and may need to have it done over the next year or two. But I am expecting to keep riding afterwards. But knees and elbows are different joints. I hope your surgery works out for you!!

@@ronsanderson99 knees are different than elbows. Knees are all compression. With the elbow they glue the implant in and the big thing is pulling it loose. Plus it can't take the impact and jarring of riding rough trails. The doctor said I'm too young but I have no other options. Been in pain for too long. Elbow is the second worst joint to have go bad on you because they're difficult to fix

Thanks Ron, like all your videos another great trail review. Wasnt in my Utah plans but perhaps combine it with a trip to grand canyon from Hurricane.

Yes, that’s would be a great plan. Just after I rode Kanab, I drove to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and rode the Rainbow Rim trail along the rim. Unfortunately it wasn’t as good a trail as I had hoped but there were 3 lookouts along the way with spectacular views. This will be a future video when I get around to editing the ride. Thanks for watching!

Another wonderful vid that wets the appetite. Well done! So the Western Ledge has a Black and a Blue as I saw on Trailforks. All these vids I watch sure has me thinking about a bike with a beefier shock. My cross-country 100mm is not very suited for a lot of the riding I see you do. A true 23 lb. cross-country bike but.....

Do you mean the Western Legend trail in Kanab? I see that the trails shown on Trailforks has significantly improved since I rode it in October. So it looks like all the trails are now on Trailforks. As for bike suspension, it really depends upon the type of riding you expect to do. I started out with a hard tail and found that I needed rear suspension. I then found that the bigger jumps and drops that I began to ride required more than 140mm travel. So now I have a bike that can ride nearly anything. But it is bigger and heavier than an “all mountain” bike. So it’s a little harder to climb and to ride long skinnies. But it’s just right for me…but not everyone. What I have found with my skill and bike progression is that I should have bought a bigger bike than I needed but it could be a bike I could grow into. Alternatively, if you don’t plan to ride hard stuff, than you don’t need a big bike. You might want to check out my 2021 Giant Reign vs Trance video where I discuss some of the trade offs with going for a big bike. Thanks for watching!!

@@ronsanderson99 thanks for the input Ron. The bike that does everything?!? It's all a trade-off I guess. I do like my cross-country bike for sure. Your info is most helpful. 😃

Looks like fun, however, those man made ramps need to go, this isnt some ones private property. Especially a ramp over a log, how stupid. hopefully someone complains and BLM takes the ramps out.

The trails are fun. And the BLM were the ones who installed the ramps. They are optional so you don’t have to ride them, up to each riders skill/discretion. Thanks for watching!
