    Your neighbours in the other units should be paying you for all the entertainment you give them. Loved the build.

    And now all you need to do, is ship it up to Carlisle!!
    * I hope 2xmicrowaves,
    1x blender (hand)
    3xblenders
    1x juicer
    2xvacum cleaners
    2xelectric fans
    And a huge box of "bits & bobs, chargers, computer fans, knackered mobile phones, +a"surprise"~will be enough to cover the shipping & the cost of the Trike?!! 😁💞🙋‍♀️. Andrea, Jasper and George the Pigeon. XxX.

      yeah maybe - but remember it is a production axel so it's probably ok unless you are doing a 100 round a corner lol

    Cool, now to strap on a GoPro and record yourself commuting to work 😆. Since it sounds like you're taking a break from trike making after this, any plans on working on the next prototype of the magnetically assisted switched reluctance motor?

    • @ThinkingandTinkering
      @ThinkingandTinkering  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      little bit but I like it and as it is made from rolled up newspaper how about giving it a go and seeing what you come up with?

    • @BoB4jjjjs
      @BoB4jjjjs 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThinkingandTinkeringI would if I could, but I don't have the space nor the body left to build it. However, I think I would have built it with a wider axle (though you were building to what you had around) and a bit lower, maybe the batteries width wise along the front of the axle just above the chain drive, or maybe one there and one in front to keep the height down for more stability. However, it proves, as with the other one you built out of paper just how strong it can be. If they can built a car body out of banana skins and coconut fibres, almost anything is possible. After all, who would have thought that fibre glass mixed with resin could be strong?

    Trailer next?

    • @ThinkingandTinkering
      @ThinkingandTinkering  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      probably not - the idea here was space frame design in paper - a trailer would be a good idea - but up to you on that one lol

    Excellent stuff, it would be nice to see such a Trike but peddle powered with a Gene to charge up batteries. Maybe some Super Caps for regen breaking so peddle powered but assisted by Super Caps, charged from breaking & dump
    load excess electricity, when batteries are fully charged, for cycling up Hills. Just a thought, but, as Manuel from Forty Towers would say, ‘I know nothing’’ hahaha.

  • @stevetobias4890

    Very nice indeed Rob, has Luke admitted defeat in your competition for the trike design challenge?
    Just wondering, do you need a licence to ride an electric bike in the UK?

    • @AndreaDingbatt
      @AndreaDingbatt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not yet, but I think that the crazy fast e-bikes/Trikes are, and all the gubbins that goes with it...
      Too many Ijdetts have spoiled the fun... 🤔😳😁.

    Instead of rolled up news paper, use rolled up super caps!!!

    • @cptrush3671
      @cptrush3671 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just add the caps inside during construction. nice boost of power that would be hidden. good idea.

    • @l0I0I0I0
      @l0I0I0I0 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I remember right, some professional bicyclist added hidden motors and power to give them an unfair advantage. Caps would be a nice unfair advantage. :)
