I leave in Japan, I proudly tell the Japanese I'm from Ghana, and anytime I say so, they immediately react ' Chocolate ' that is because they get their cocoa beans from Ghana and their chocolate is named after Ghana. Japan is very peaceful with very polite citizens.

As someone living in Japan, i must say this is perfectly said about Japan. There's no perfect country anywhere. If you find peace wherever you are, stay there. If not, keep moving till you find it.

@@samuelfrempong2043 true. For my family and I, we are not interested in USA because 1. We are raising kids (USA isn’t great in this area) 2. We love the japan healthcare system (USA isn’t best here too. All the money you make will pay the bills. Outrageous working hrs isn’t good for health as well) 3. Safety and customer service is top notch in japan (I won’t even mention USA again lol.) 4. We have decent jobs. At least you can save something by the end of the month without owing anyone. No credit card or score issues here in japan.
Japan’s big problem for foreigners is their language and culture. They are not that flexible so integration is hard and slow. You are also limited in Opportunities eg you will probably NEVER get a government job or become a doctor or nurse in japan as a foreigner. USA is a land of immigrants so everyone can become anything once you dream and work at it. Knowing the language separates you so much from the newbies.
If you get USA and japan visas (job or school), if you are raising a young family, take japan. If alone or with just your partner, take USA. But which ever one you take, regardless of your state, just search for what gives you peace of mind. If you don’t get that at a place, change till you find it

Women are householder / head of the family in Japan. Japan is a nice country but it was built for themselves and not for foreigners (Gaijin). Japan is ahead of the world in many things but it still has the highest suicides in the world.😮 No matter how long u live there, u will never be accepted as one of them. Even to get their passport, u have to add a japanese name to your name and be able to read japanese. Japan of yesterday is not the same now, currently their economy is going down with $1 = ¥150. It's not true that Japanese don't know Ghana, Immediately u mention Ghana, they will say 'chocolate' bcos there's a well known chocolate by lotte branded Ghana. JICA has been in Ghana 🇬🇭 for many years and some of it participants end up marring Ghanaians. Its a lie to say, u can only get a japanese woman on dating site, mostly its through club or bar. There are many Ghanaians and Nigerians doing well for themselves in Japan. English teaching is what most of this Americans, Europeans and few Africans do.
