👋 Hi! It's nice to see you again! What a lovely video you've shared, and I thank you for it.
The landscape of the Magdalen Islands is starkly beautiful, with no visible trees, fine sand beaches and what looks to be crumbling red stone cliffs against the blue ocean. I can't help but wonder how the coast holds up to fierce storms like Hurricane Fiona, which did significant damage to the Nova Scotia and Newfoundland coastlines just last year.
The little towns/villages you visited were so pretty! Tourism seems an obvious economic driver, along with the fishery, of course. How wonderful that crime/vandalism is so low that churches can remain unsupervised and unlocked, so people can visit to worship or just to admire the buildings at their leisure. And, while I am not a religious person, I admire the reverence and respect you demonstrate when you've visited churches, mosques, temples, etc. No doubt, the people who worship at these sites would also appreciate the respectful way you treat all faiths and their practices.
As always, I look forward to your next video, and continue to wish you both (and Kana, of course) safe and happy travels!
Hi Carol! It's always a pleasure to hear from you. I'm glad you enjoyed the video of the Magdalen Islands. The landscape truly is stunning, and you're right to wonder about its resilience against storms like Hurricane Fiona. The towns and villages we visited were indeed charming, and it's heartening to see such low crime rates that allow churches to remain open and accessible. We believe in respecting all faiths and their practices, and it's important to us to demonstrate that in our travels. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to sharing more adventures with you soon! 🌟
Amazing to see you guys back! I have missed your adventure videos!
Will be back to regular posting 😀
Isles de la Madeleine is our favorite place. We have been several times and found our lack of good French was not an obstacle. There are three large Coop groceries spread around the islands. SorryGrandma’s bakery was closed. It is lovely! Thanks for sharing you trip!
Thanks for sharing your experience! We agree, Îles de la Madeleine is truly a special place. It's great to hear that you were able to enjoy your time there despite the language barrier. The Coop groceries are indeed convenient, and it's a shame Grandma's bakery was closed during our visit. Hopefully, we'll have the chance to visit again soon!

The first digital prison in in Canada, anyone who wants to get out needs a QR code now!
Hahaha 🤣
îles de la madeleine pas magdalen
In English, it is translated into The Magdalen Islands
Michael's not keen anymore ! Pity!
😕
