I remember my Grandpa singing this in Church as a child. He had such a deep, thundering voice. He wasnt a great singer but it doesnt take a good singing voice to make a warm, sweet memory! This song brings tears to my eyes. This song was sung at the funerals of four of my friends who passed away due rare forms of cancer. 3 of them were 9 years of age and were within 1 1/2 months or less of their 10th birthdays and the other was 8 1/2 years of age and he died last month. RIP Chase, Kayden, E.J., and Brodie.

An altar in a church is spelled differently then to alter (to change) the robe of the altar server. English is a very confusing language because it includes many words from other languages with different spelling rules.

Just remember. Truly being blessed in this way comes with many sorrows: very beautiful to the viewer and honored by the church through beatification. To carry this blessing through life; however, comes with pain few will ever understand. Normally it means no wife, no husband, no children, no one to hold them when they suffer the slings and arrows of the crueler things in life. They are simply alone their entire life as they come to know it was never really about them because they already belong to God. No, it was about the ones God chooses to touch by way of His grace and mercy poured out to them while the “blessed” suffers to help “Us” see the shining face of God. Perhaps we should say a little prayer for those currently in this world who suffer so that others might glimpse upon God! But such things are ultimately up to God.

We all just got silent, and heard the 3rd graders practicing church songs in the music room, they were singing this. I'm not really religious anymore but this song reminds me of that extreme peaceful moment where I just did not have a care in the world.
