Oh man. I just noticed that the old albums have been reissued on vinyl and was heading to purchase them from an online record store. But then I thought I'd search for a review of those reissues first to see if they're ok. Didn't find one but stumbled upon this video. And from this video I went to see the Facebook comments by Patrick and now I'm not sure if I want to buy those vinyls anymore. If the band criticizes someone's personal ranking video and links it on their official page you'd think the video had to be really brutal and harsh. But I see nothing but pure respect and love on your video. Ugh.
A band that I’ve been putting off for far too long. Started to get into them recently, listened to Testimony of the Ancients and the new record and love them both, but still need to finish the discography. Could be one of my favorites
My favorite is probably Consvming Impvlse as cliche as it is with Testimony at #2 and Mallevs Maleficarvum at #3 but it really depends on the day. Oh and my favorite Testament album is Practice What you Preach and my favorite Slayer album is also Seasons in the Abyss🤘💀👍

You got a subscribe from me. You'll never catch other self respecting musicians going on social media to argue the musical opinions of their audience. It's not healthy on an individual level and it's a terrible look to the fans. Ironic that he ended up promoting you instead of the other way around.
Also, check out Thanatos and graceless, two Dutch death/thrash en death/doom legends. The guitarist from the current asphyx line up also plays in Thanatos.
Awesome list Questy. I have the same top three, same order as you. For me testimony was one of the albums that got me into death metal. I think they broke a lot of “rules” on that with the “tween” songs. Moved the genre outward. I loved Patrick’s vocals on testimony so much too. Love your channel!

I actually really love Doctrine, the vocals are really weird but the super low guitars are pretty heavy and as a bassist, it has some of the best bass parts of any pestilence albums. Spheres is obviously still the best, though

If you havent listened to consuming Impulse yet I highly recommend it. Its one of my personal favorite death metal albums of all time
