I discovered this channel when Radio Dead Air played this video on a weekly video stream. I've finally gotten back to it after an archive binge. I love.
mrmimeisfunny Ah, yes. Those hypothetical things that neither paints said 3D objects, nor have much flexibility when it comes to what materials you can use with them. And that costs a ridiculous amounts of money if you want one of even halfway decent quality (and that's not even counting the cost of upkeep. Yes, it's a good thing those doesn't exist; wouldn't be at all relevant for collectible figure consumers. The plastic model consumers will probably love it within the next decade, though, once it becomes more affordable to purchase. If such a thing where to exist, that is...
As a person who worked at the USPS part time for a while, I can assure you: They've still got a ton of crap ton to do all the time. Friggin... Amazon relies on them to handle the overflow, even.
Too bad many areas are now putting up airspace regulations that have now prevented drones (either consumer or commercial) from flying near residential areas as well as large multi-mile (from 10 to 50) zones around airports. Then there's the infrastructure of have to build an army of drones to servise every major city, as I doubt a drone is going to have the range for regional travel.
To be frank, Mailmen aren't entirely gone, since there's online shopping. EDIT: Before anyone asks, yes, I'm aware that this blog was meant to be a joke.
Amazon will definitely own Skynet, the robots will use us as batteries and they will sell our virtual world avatars digital outfits. while selling real outfits to Arnold bots
I love that moment. You know that moment. The moment when Fafa says that thing that fits perfectly to the situation, and then you hear them start laughing and know that that wasn't in the script.
Mistah_M_ even in the USA, good shoes still need and get repaired. Most people don't actually own good shoes though, just cheap crap they replace when it goes bad.
yup, it's an umbrella term for people that make all forms of art, which technically means that whoever writes the script for glove and boots has kind of shot themselves in the foot
Too broad, if you ask me. Now you've got people who will snort food coloring, sneeze, and throw a fit if you don't call the tissue they sneezed into art.
Mailmen are still relevant... Though now instead of failing to get letters to me on time.. They fail to get my eBay orders to me on time.. Also I make money doing art for a living, and I'm no hipster, so.... Meh. :P
I agree. The only thing that would truly make mailmen obsolete is if you could beam your packages to people... Or if you could send instructions and have a machine build the package for you there. But that's probably not very likely to happen.
Milkmen and cobblers are still common in the UK. We also have newsies, kinda, they sell a magazine called the big issue which people buy and never read.
Milkman is still a job. A few people in my town still get their milk delivered. But it's just once a week. They get it from local dairies instead of the grocery store.
Door to door salesmen are alive and well. We get them from time to time and have told a couple to get the heck off our doorstep in the last couple of months. As for milkmen, I am in my 40s and can't think of anyone who ever saw one in my lifetime. Mail carriers? SERIOUSLY? How do you think the stuff gets to your house when you order it? Shoe repair? A guy down the street makes a good living doing exactly that. There's a big shoe place in a town nearby and they do well. I was an commercial artist for several few years and people never wanted to pay for the art they wanted. They valued the product, but not the effort to create it. I think the first lesson in any art school should be, "nobody will want to pay you to do this." I still get printed every now and then in books and magazines, but yeah, you cannot make a living at it that'll pay the bills.
Actually door to door salesmen are still around, we've had to put up a "no solicitors" sign on our door cuz they come around so often, and even that doesn't stop some of em
We have a friend who's a cobbler. He's worked with Nike and made shoes for professional basketball players, so there's still some life in the profession.
My dad has a story about door to door salesmen when he was a kid. This was back in the 60's and this guy comes up to the house and is trying to sell a vacuum. His pitches the unit and barges into the house and immediately drops dirt over my grandma's white carpet. Then he says to my grandma "it's so easy even you could do it." My dad was watching this and got his brother to watch the show, because this was going to be a good show. The salesmen then "tries" to vacuum up the dirt and does not succeed at all. Then it happened. My grandma blew up at the man. He practically wet his pants at the fire she was spewing in his direction. It was an amazing scene, at least from my dad's perspective.
I live in a small town in Montana and we actually still use newsies. I wish there was a cobbler around my area. There was one in Florida that fixed my really expensive shoes for next to nothing. And I actually know a cop who use to be a milkman.
Our local shoe repair guy is still going strong, to the point where he has a waiting list and an apprentice. Maybe they can branch out into puppetry during the slow season.
Props for the Avenue Q reference at the end. I got the chance to see that play, it's hysterical. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it (or only knows it from the funny, if overplayed, "The Internet is for Porn" song).
Ironically, the thing that made mailmen "obsolete" is what gave them thier job back! Amazon and other Stores now do deliveries. Also, that puppet builder and Avenue Q joke hurts now.
"Being dead is a terrible way to make a living"
- Mario's words of wisdom
True
"Puppet builder- Good luck making a living doing that" - hit too close man, am puppet builder, am broke.
Whats your comission prices and timing of average work.
"What was that?" "Meh!"
The Avenue Q bit caught me off guard, nice laugh. Would laugh again, have a good one Glove and Boots (:
The bit about 'the colonoscopy' really worked! What irony!
Basically the only part of the video that was any good.
I love Broadway so the Avenue q joke was the best
"I do not drink enough milk to necessitate a man." Why is that such a perfect way to phrase it?
I demand a full version of the Glove and Boots' rendition of "It sucks to be me"!
"being dead is a terrible way to make a living"
wise words mario
Mailman... who delivers your orders from Amazon? THE MAILMAN!!! BWA HAAA HAAA!!!
Only till amazon gets their delivery drones done.
Sheepy007 eBay?
Drones
Lately my amazon packages have been delivered by random dudes in beat up cars....seems like they're contracted by some company called "Intelcom"
prairiepanda (cough) drones (cough cough)
I discovered this channel when Radio Dead Air played this video on a weekly video stream. I've finally gotten back to it after an archive binge.
I love.
AVENUE Q! That's my favorite Broadway Musical!
You know what salesmen do now? They call you up, three times in a row, while you're trying to work AFTER YOU SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM NOT TO CALL AGAIN!
Until we have the technology to teleport anime figures to my doorstep, I think mailmen will do just fine.
If only there was a machine these days, that takes plastic or resin and a 3d model and makes a figurine out of it. Like a printer, but 3 Dimensional.
mrmimeisfunny Ah, yes.
3D printer. Wait a while and it'll do what it can't do yet.
Ah yes 3D printers, which create matter out of nothing and never have to be resupplied with polymer delivered by a mailman.
"Being dead is a terrible way to make a living"
That ending makes me want an entire Glove And Boots video where they recreate Avenue Q.
The Avenue Q ending is the best thing I've seen all day.
Mario's "It's a holiday" deadpan cracked me up so much.
As a person who worked at the USPS part time for a while, I can assure you: They've still got a ton of crap ton to do all the time. Friggin... Amazon relies on them to handle the overflow, even.
that artist one hurts still.... I'll just paint this next painting WITH MY TEARS
The mailman is still around. He just delivers your online purchases instead of letters. They now go by "the UPS guy".
What, mailmen obsolete, but who's gonna deliver my internet purchases from Ebay, Amazon, and that shady porn site with discrete packaging?
Amazon's setting up their own delivery system via drones, and Ebay has a partnership with Fedex.
That's UPS and FedEx
Interesting fact: 75% or more of the infrastructure that UPS and FedEx use is USPS! (weird)...
Robots. But they will only be delivering to people that still have jobs since Amazon is working on killing off 75% of the workforce.
2:08 I'm just gonna sit here and listen to how beautiful this part is.
You guys are actually killing it with your videos. I really loved that Avenue Q reference. Keep up this amazing work!
To be frank, Mailmen aren't entirely gone, since there's online shopping.
EDIT: Before anyone asks, yes, I'm aware that this blog was meant to be a joke.
And soon Skynet will have drones. The USPS won't have Amazon to keep them in business.
Drones can't deliver everything.
They aren't gone at all. I get junk mail nearly daily.
Amazon will definitely own Skynet, the robots will use us as batteries and they will sell our virtual world avatars digital outfits. while selling real outfits to Arnold bots
Some might think puppeteers are no longer needed, because you can do everything with modern CGI and mocap.
Those people are wrong.
I’m very sorry that show did not work out well. It was a good show. I miss you, guys. From Moscow, Russia, with love.
Kudos to GaB for putting out so much work. You guys are one of my favorite channels!
I love that moment.
You know that moment. The moment when Fafa says that thing that fits perfectly to the situation, and then you hear them start laughing and know that that wasn't in the script.
"And you only have to work one day a year!
"They'll never take it....that's a holiday"
Funniest friekin quote!!
Ok we need an all Glove and Boots cast of Avenue Q. That would be amazing!
there was a milkman coming to our house up until 2012 so milk men lasted a while longer than u think
trains rule I still have it happen
trains rule where the fuck do you live
NO I have 2 dads!
and I live in 'murica
I hate to break it to you ... at least one if not both of your dads is not your real dad.
That ending was amazing, lol! You guys should do songs during your livestreams :) "Auditions for other Puppet Shows" sounds like a good segment to me!
I would love to see a longer version of the Avenue Q bit
Well I'm off to become a hipster.
Glove n Boots meets Avenue Q.........THAT'S GENIUS!!!! Have a Avenue Q themed Blog!!!
the avenue q bit at the end killed me
My grandfather is still a shoemaker in Turkey
Mistah_M_ even in the USA, good shoes still need and get repaired. Most people don't actually own good shoes though, just cheap crap they replace when it goes bad.
Mailman is know as Amazon deliver person.
Isn't artist a broader term than just painter though
Z
yup, it's an umbrella term for people that make all forms of art, which technically means that whoever writes the script for glove and boots has kind of shot themselves in the foot
Too broad, if you ask me. Now you've got people who will snort food coloring, sneeze, and throw a fit if you don't call the tissue they sneezed into art.
lolnoob95 glove and bokts are also artists! : P
bokts?? whats a bokts?
Mailmen are still relevant...
Though now instead of failing to get letters to me on time.. They fail to get my eBay orders to me on time..

@@ailuj_neslein Good point
Door to Door Salesmen are gone because there are no moms at home to answer the door nowdays.
WHAT I WOULDNT GIVE TO SEE GLOVE AND BOOTS GUEST STAR IN A PERFORMANCE OF AVENUE Q!!!
Now all I wanna see is an Avenue Q/ Glove and Boots crossover!
Omg.. fafa performing a parody of Avenue Q is the greatest thing. 😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️
Milkmen and cobblers are still common in the UK. We also have newsies, kinda, they sell a magazine called the big issue which people buy and never read.
That outro song......good stuff.
I love how in an episode about practical jobs, you see a picture of Mike Rowe. A man who's the poster boy for this sort of thing.
Avenue Q man...hit a heartstring you guys! 💜
Milkman is still a job. A few people in my town still get their milk delivered. But it's just once a week. They get it from local dairies instead of the grocery store.
Door to door sales still exist. Had a guy trying to sell me a vacuum just yesterday
lol The tongue in cheek one was my favorite. Poor cobbler.
Being a salesperson and dealing with crap are pretty much the same thing.
The guys that bring ice down from the mountain... lol! Yup, can tell Mario's a mountain puppet-man. :D
As a mailman...yeah...Santa Claus. I have been called the REAL Santa Claus around christmas so many times...
I would legit pay to see a full glove and boots version of Avenue Q. That was like my favorite Play I've seen on stage.
I live in western Washington and we still have milkmen. It's called Swan brothers dairy. The also deliver other food stuffs.
Shoe repair? the friggen newsies part had me dying... and now I have King of New York stuck in my head
The Ave Q bit at the end.....FAB-U-LOUS!
"Batman is way better job than hobo." 😂 I always love the way Mario says things
"Being dead is a terrible way to make a living" -Glove & Boots 2017
Man, that Avenue Q reference though 😂😂😂😂
Actually door to door salesmen are still around, we've had to put up a "no solicitors" sign on our door cuz they come around so often, and even that doesn't stop some of em
Been a good long while since I've seen this one (from a different account though). Figured I'd come back and take another look. Still funny.
The Avenue Q bit at the end was worth it enough for a like :)
We have a friend who's a cobbler. He's worked with Nike and made shoes for professional basketball players, so there's still some life in the profession.
That ending was the best. I just started watching the shows on TH-cam and glove and boots makes a reference to it
Leaving in a few minutes to pick up my shoes at the cobbler! He's incredibly busy! REAL LIFE!
I would like to apply for the new position at Glove and Boots. Where do I start?
Haha totally worth it just for the Avenue Q joke at the end.
I have my milk and other dairy delivered. It's so much better than the grocery stuff that I can't go back.
You probably live close to a major dairy.
But the mailman delivers my Webkinz!
Colonoscopies: my least favourite type of pies.
It seems milkmen may be coming back.... mostly because we're moving away from single use plastic jugs, and going back to recyclable glass bottles.
Leaving for AvenueQ, the "Times they are a changin'" channel description, and the crude humor sprinkled about. This recommended video is too real.
CAUSE IT'S A FINE LIFE CARRYIN THE BANNE-
Okay I'll go back to my corner now
My dad has a story about door to door salesmen when he was a kid.
This was back in the 60's and this guy comes up to the house and is trying to sell a vacuum.
His pitches the unit and barges into the house and immediately drops dirt over my grandma's white carpet.

Then it happened. My grandma blew up at the man.
He practically wet his pants at the fire she was spewing in his direction. It was an amazing scene, at least from my dad's perspective.
The ending made this video. Shout out to all the Broadway fans out there that actually got it.
I live in a small town in Montana and we actually still use newsies. I wish there was a cobbler around my area. There was one in Florida that fixed my really expensive shoes for next to nothing. And I actually know a cop who use to be a milkman.
Now mailmen deliver packages ordered online
I am so happy that you have your blog back 😀
I live in the UK and there is still a cobblers in my town.
But wait! If you get rid of the mailman, who's going to deliver my online orders?
2:05 When you don't realize that you are puppets.
Fafa on Avenue Q would be amazing! Can we make this happen??
Fafa operating an Avenue Q puppet in Avenue Q would be amazing
mailmen mostly deliver bills nowadays
Cobblers are great! I've had some pricy work boots repaired for cheap.
Our local shoe repair guy is still going strong, to the point where he has a waiting list and an apprentice. Maybe they can branch out into puppetry during the slow season.
I would love to see a Glove and Boots Avenue Q production!
I like that Mike Rowe is in the picture frame. I LOVE DIRTY JOBS.
oooh my sides when they didn't even give an alternative to that last one, Mario just wails "no!" and it ends! xD
"Being dead is a terrible way to make a living" - Mario, from G. Love and Boots
Avenue Q is so funny I loved that they put avenue q in the video 🖒
"I do not drink enough milk to necessitate a 'man'"
Funniest part.
Props for the Avenue Q reference at the end. I got the chance to see that play, it's hysterical. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it (or only knows it from the funny, if overplayed, "The Internet is for Porn" song).
Buy as much craft beer as you want!
*holds up cans of Pabst*
Omg the Avenue Q ending. I love Avenue Q!
They'll never go for it!! Lmao
"Being dead is a terrible way to make a living." -Mario, 2017
oh man, now I need a glove and boots avenue q style musical
Ironically, the thing that made mailmen "obsolete" is what gave them thier job back! Amazon and other Stores now do deliveries.
Also, that puppet builder and Avenue Q joke hurts now.
So all those online shopping orders just materialize out of thin air for you? GIMMIE THOSE DRUGS YOU'RE USING! GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE!
