4:02 While many believe it is appropriate to rub chopsticks together to eliminate splinters, it is actually a rude gesture and seen as an insult. By rubbing chopsticks together, it implied that they are cheap. Even if you are eating in an inexpensive eatery, do not rub the chopsticks together.
Why do people go to other countries just to buy "luxury items" that they can buy in their own country? I guess it makes them feel "rich"??? Why not experience the authentic culture of the place and buy louis in france?
@@ourlegacyent some luxury items can be more affordable in other countries due to tax differences, or they might offer exclusive pieces that aren't available elsewhere. In the PH, some luxury items do not have an outlet store which means that it can be more expensive. I guess at the end of the day, we all have our own reasons why we buy luxury items in other countries. To each his own. Would love to go to France someday and experience the “authentic culture” you said :)
@@ChaseOrozco I agree to each its own, Japan is such a beautiful country I just wanted to understand why someone would go to Asian country to buy European and/or American items rather than put money into the culture and local economy.
