- Some thoughts on AVAs as well as state and county appellations. ERRATUM: At around 6:25 I say that Texas requires an 85% of grapes grown in the state for the wine to qualify for the state appellation. That's incorrect. The right number is 75% for Texas.

UWC: Thanks again for a well-researched and informative cast. This AVA designation is something we discuss over and over at our Winery. This makes it so much clearer .. well, not .. because, obviously the whole % thing is a floating target. Keep the casts coming!
