Bowser is overly abusive and obsessed with a single TV show, even though he wasn't that monstrous in some games. Peach is portrayed as a spoiled Rich girl, just because she's a Princess. Black Yoshi is a Racist Steryoetype. Kamek/Cody is mostly portrayed as a homesexual, all because he wears a robe. And Rosalina is naive about Earth and is completely clueless, even though she's a one who watches space goddess who should be very wise.

There’s a theory that bowser himself was an orphan as a child and so I wanted to add to it by saying Many years later probably some time after the events of Super Mario 64 but still before Sunshine Bowser found Bowser jr and most likely found them very relatable since both never knew there actual parents and decided to raise them as his own. Plus that ending cutscene of Bowser and his son having a moment in Super Mario sunshine is pretty heart warming.
Next, Why Boswer IS a villain I mean he sends his son and the koopa kids to fight Mario and his friends when they can get hurt, A Father doesn't indanger their kids lives. He also targets at other people even if they have nothing to do with his quest he just torchers anyone. He even smacked the koopa kids out of the way, Boswer is definitely a villain no matter which way you look at the series.
