I need to teach you because you seem clueless and perhaps a little boy sitting behind computer screen with no practical experience of life. I have plenty of Sindhi friends in my life and regularly eat Sindhi Biryani at their houses. In Karachi people like you may not use Shan masala packets because of the cost, and to save 2 cents you may be buying spices from the whole market. This is the downside of social media, that a little school boy like you with no social status can come here and comment freely with stupidity and argue with people at much higher intellectual and social levels. Believe me... when it comes to biryani... it is only Karachi Biryani. When you visit any city in Pakistan, ask for only Karachi Biryani. Not any other kind of biryani.

The white sweet rice and yellow sweet rice dishes are different in many aspects other than color. The white sweet rice is generally made by basmati rice whereas the rice type in Zarda is different (Sehla rice). Hence the taste and texture is also different. The Zarda recipe was brought by immigrants from India whereas white sweet rice dish is from local community (probably from Punjab).
