I also loved the movie. The young lady did a fantastic job at being authentic and taking you along on her journey. Would have never thought this was her first film. Wow ♥️
Beautiful film! I just can get enough of it! How wonderful is Alfonso Cuarón! The actresses did a wonderful job as well... And that lady translating is just amazing!!!
It should be interesting for non-Mexicans to see Yalitza and Marina side by side, as they represent the two ends of the racial mix that gave origin to most Mexicans (about 80%). Their races come from opposite sides of the world: European (mostly Spanish) and Native Mexican. And, interestingly, there are still people, like them, who have not mixed with the other race after 500 years since the Spaniards arrived in Mexico!
👏👏Como me da risa que las actrices/actores de telenovelas de Mexico/Televisa según van a Hollywood hacer carrera y lo único que hacen es irse a quitar la ropa ( y NUNCA triunfan) y en cambio llega esta indígena que ni es actriz pero si una gran persona y principalmente honesta y logra más en una película que estas disque actrices! Ni modo [ thalia, william levy, elizabeth gutierrez, eduardo yanez, etc,etc], siganse quitando la ropa y mendigiando porque jamás van a lograr lo que está logrando esta mujer de la mano de Cuaron.
@Alexei Romanov Diste en el puro clavo - Así es ○ aún ahora en los mismos EU los negros ya están al par de los blancos- • en los los medios-de- comunicación ~con sus programas en TV ○ los ves por todas partes ~ siendo reporteros • locutores • invadiendo el mundo del comercialismo -modelos - artistas de cine - millonarios - deportistas - empleados- gerentes- DE TODO - la raza negra ahora está mucho más aceptada en los EU que nuestros propios nativos indígenas que son absolutamente ignorados ^ despreciados ^ por sus mismos compatriotas - Es una vergüenza para los que sí somos mexicanos de corazón abierto a todos nuestros paisanos • sobretodo a los que se han superado y alcanzado un nivel más alto culturalmente - en lo instructivo ~ educacional - y buenas maneras - como lo ha demostrado ésta joven aunque no nació actriz, resultó mucho mejor actriz que las que ya tienen años en ese medio y no han logrado lo que ésta joven mujer ○ que le ha sonreído la buena suerte ○ además de estar triunfando ~ precisamente con sus razgos indígenas muy de México ○ y que mejor en el extranjero los reconozcan ○ alaben y premien por su trabajo llevado a la perfección • En vez de envidiarlos y denigrarlos así su propia gente mexicana que debiera Estar orgullosa.del triunfo de éstos artistas -y- ver el nombre de México recorriendo todo el mundo con los nombres de Alfonso Cuarón -y- Yalitsa Aparicio - dos representantes típicos de nuestro país, que unidos han creado una obra maestra para la admiración de los expertos y no expertos de éste medio • Que lástima que haya algunos deserebrados mejicanos de muy poca calidad humana - con odio ~ envidia y desprecio y más desprecio a todo lo Mexicano y a México mismo ○ En vez de sentirse orgullosos y felices con el triunfo mundial de talentosos compatriotas.
we can all express our own opinions and it sounds like you don’t appreciate art forms that most film critics see. In the film industry there are a lot of factors to marvel about that normal film viewers may not see.I personally loved the technical aspects of the film and the acting. the fundamental motif of the film was apparent which was subtly conveyed by the plot. At least you now know your demographic of film types and can now ignore films like these which require you to use abstract thought outside the visual medium
Sorry i'm not going to appreciate a movie just because it has a beautiful shots of beautiful mountains and landscapes, at some point i felt like watching a National Geographic channel and it's not a compliment. I know that Cuaròn's intent is to tell a subtle story using figures and expressions, but he left out the most important element of a movie: emotions. I personally judge the movie as a whole and i felt like it lacks a storyline, it lacks emotions. It's only my opinion.
The movie did have emotions. A lot of people connected with it that’s why they liked it. There’s a lot of things that felt nostalgic... it was very parallel to parts of my life which is why I think it’s a great film.

This movie has zero plot, lame acting, ridiculous script and on top of that BORING AS HELL. What's all the fuss about?
