So well planned and executed! The slide in the garage is awesome! That's the way they all should be designed. The bed system is such a great idea! It DOES make such good sense to be able to transport things in your van. The water//heat system is brilliant, as is the AC. I love the drawers in this build. The extra seat is such a plus. I like everything! Thanks for the tour!
It’s awesome….everything about it is solid…..that little bench could easily be made into a small bed for a child…love that you can add the third seat…so versatile according to needs!
Overall very nice except for: 1) that iffy extension cord to plug in a high power draw oven. 2) I understand the desire for darkness when a control wants to wake up in the middle of the night, but you lost a complete cabinet space. I like everything else. Good job.
It's a great garage setup because you use space nicely and the van can carry cargo if you need it for different adventures or to take a trip to Home Depot or Lowe's. The a/c idea is brilliant, as is the water to heat and avoid winterizing the van. I wonder how cold you can go (outside temperatures)? The bed design is great, but I would love to see it for a seating area. I can only imagine what the next build will look like.
Lovely, what a well thought out van. I do wonder what additional maintenance or cleaning would be required on that undermount A/C. Dirt, road salt, etc? Would love to have that feature in my Sprinter for my dog.
Very nice setup , have some concerns with the ac system mounted under the van , would be a dust collector if the rig is driven of pavement, also vibrations and the particles , snow , not sure if the noise level is much different from the roof top type, the radiant heat is not risk free , there are lots of vibrations and stop forces that stress the connections, anyway nice luxury van , good luck,
The AC doesn’t have much different issues than a conventional one in front of the radiator. It could get dirty and need to be washed out just the same. Vibrations would be much the same. It is probably more vulnerable to road debris however. As far as noise it’s slightly better outside however inside is like night and day. As you can see I have a lot of venting so you’re not pushing a lot of air thru small ducts. The more ducts the less air friction and the less noise and better performance. Too many people try to force a lot of air thru too small a duct and it sounds like a rocket ship.

Overall good work but why put all those holes in the van body for water and electrical which are so old fashion RV style? Also the sink with two faucet placed like that is just unsightly, it reminds me of an insect with antennas 😊
Induction cooktop in the draw so I have more counter space. I think I used it twice in over 100,000 miles of trips. We leave home with a lot of pre cooked food and stop at whatever is the specialty in places we visit that’s our thing. We’ve never stayed at a campsite more than one night. We all use our vans in different ways.
Heating hot water with electricity in vans/rvs is a thing of the past. It takes to much power. I have the Rixen’s system in my vans and never have to wait more than a few moments for hot water.
I have the rixens system. I use the tank as a holding tank so I have hot water without turning on the boiler in the summer. In the winter the water is heated when the heat is on. It takes no power from my battery because I use the electric when I’m driving. I never timed it but I’m going to guess your few moments is more like 3 minutes. I’m not interested in waking up,starting my boiler, waiting three minutes to wash my face then turning the boiler back off again to do it all over again in an hour.
I come from the world of yachts. Million dollar yachts. This build reminds me of those. This is way overkill for the average/above average camper. He's a brilliant engineer but 90% of this is overkill. I'm not planning on running 40 knots for 24 hours to Mexico in 8 ft. Seas.
I live in New Jersey. Black tanks freeze. If I had a black tank which I did once I’d have to dump it after every time we went away or keep it plugged in with a heating pad constantly and stressing about it. The composting toilet lasts me all winter without touching it. Of course I have to dump the pee tank when I get back from every trip.
At the end of the video we talked about that they use the van for other things other than sleeping in it. For day trips, they bring the extra seat. Not everybody owns a camper van uses it for just camping situations.
Patrick I can't think of anything I would add or change. That garage with the boxes, bed and ac is the best garage I've seen.
Wowowow! This man has it all dialed IN 👍
This rig has been so thoroughly thought out, you had us at Italian leather
the ultimate well though van a dream a dream i kept this in case i win a lottery

Impressive! The coolest van around 👍
Thank you!
This Van Is Badass !!!
Love it
Beautiful choice of materials! Thanks for another great feature Patrick.

Radiant heat is everything.
Thanks for the feedback but I wouldn’t do it again. It’s a lot of work, a lot of money and over rated in my opinion.
The under bed garage fabricator should be building space shuttles. Wowzers!
Awesome build. He really thought of everything. I especially like the pull-out drawer on the side. I love cooking outside in good weather.
Wonderful
Thank you! Cheers!
Really nice van. Lots of attention to detail on this one.
Glad you like it!
Hey, 18:16 I think I'm first! Hi Patrick😁
Great van, Sir 👍🏻
Yes you are!

A beautiful Van. I'd like to buy it!!!
Very nice! Love the “garage” drawer.
Me too.

Dirt, road salt, etc?
Would love to have that feature in my Sprinter for my dog.
Sprinkled
Huh?
OK. What was final Total cost delivered?
Can I get your fab guy info ? I need him to do my bed garage the same but in my 144

Details about the AC install please.
Such as?
What is the AC units used? Looks like a savvy combination like CruisingComfort but a more straightforward install
Google UndermountAC
Don't see any link for this van to buy it....
I bet someone he knows snapped it up. It's beautiful!
Overall good work but why put all those holes in the van body for water and electrical which are so old fashion RV style? Also the sink with two faucet placed like that is just unsightly, it reminds me of an insect with antennas 😊
No stove? Nice kitchen area, but nothing to cook with, except a microwave?

He talks about whats important first...
I come from the world of yachts. Million dollar yachts. This build reminds me of those. This is way overkill for the average/above average camper.

les anciens motorhomes avaient de la classe ! c'est moderne et moche !
Why not a black tank? Messing with a composting toilet is tiresome…
I live in New Jersey. Black tanks freeze. Im assuming he retired from MIT or NASA.
Can be true
He has the extra seat for when their daughter comes with them, but where does she sleep?
At the end of the video we talked about that they use the van for other things other than sleeping in it. For day trips, they bring the extra seat. Not everybody owns a camper van uses it for just camping situations.
We bring a cushion with us that we manage to span her seat and the fixed bench. Not ideal but it works, she only 9. I’m working on a better plan.
