Great to see old skool farming, proper ploughing and drilling into clean land. Round here its 'tickle the top' and drill into the trash, looks a right mess till April. No time to do it properly I suppose. Love the shorts and wellies !!! Keep up the good work.
Yes but ploughing power harrowing and drilling won’t be sustainable for much longer with the rising cost of fuel and labour and farmers on miin till have got there soil in great shape for the furture
We have very varied soils from light to heavy red clay, which all need different cultivation techniques, we direct drill , min till, and plough /combi , had good results and bad results and learn from these, getting the crop established is the first step to a good crop , so saying some operations is to costly in my opinion is rubbish ,it’s what you get at the end and putting more effort in maybe costly but pays ,cheers Richard
Not a fan of an old lely combi not enough pressure on the coulters for our strong land but my god have you got her doing a lovely job! Keep dropping her in!
We’ve bought the new polymat with hydraulic coulters ,to replace this old girl, but box is not working, so still using , there far superior, cheers Richard
There foraging maize near us in hoyland near Barnsley yes there is a of chopped bits that’s blown off the trailers but it soon goes..I think them villagers would stop moaning if McDonald’s had to shut 😀
How ya rate the class530 there one near me for sale only 1900 hours on it 8 years old cleaning stables and topping it did half interested in it .Cover serious ground with trailed drill
