You will need;
1 x Sew In purse handle 2.5 inches
Cotton DK/Light worsted weight yarn
Yarn needle
Sewing needle
Scissors

10 years ago! I’m just now learning how to make this type coin purse. I’ll leave my tips for sewing the crochet work to the frame. 1. Use clear, nylon thread so that it cannot be seen and 2. Always sew the purse to the outside of the frame thus covering up all of the holes!
The very first purse I made I sewed it using the method shown in this video. However, it’s just as easy and very much neater when sewn on the outside of the frame. No unsightly stitches showing, no unsightly holes showing. Thank you so very much for the pattern. It makes a lovely little coin purse. I used sport weight yarn with a 3.75 hook and it fits perfectly on the 8.5cm frame.

Love this ;-) Thanks so much xxx I think they will make great gifts as you say x I am planning on using some safety pins spaced out going through the fabric and the frame at the top to keep the fabric in place around the frame when I am sewing it into the frame so that way I know I wont end up with a gap at the other end :-)

Love this coin purse tutorial. I was wondering though...would there be any chance that you may need a lining for the inside in case the stitches are closed enough to keep from coins going through it?
+Mary Miranda It would depend on your tension, if you have a loose tension then it may be better to swap to a smaller hook.

What if the handle is smaller??? mines bunched up really bad to fit into it, so im loosing the pattern ?
im in uk and wondered what dk you used? a 2.5 hook on dk yarn, i normally use a 3.50 hook

I got 15 cm rectangle frames off the Wish App for just the shipping and handling cost ($2)
Should have put your needle in the back first to see the handle so there is no thread hanging out.

mary dimauro I got mine at hobby lobby so any arts and craft stores would work Walmart doesnt have them. I'm sure Ebay and Amazon has them too
