Humans actually promotes cobra and other snake population around their villages where there are plenty of rats, domestic animals which becomes its preys. Piles of garbage are ideal habitat.
The way you capture the King Cobra is very gentle and meticulous, that's why the cobra is not agitated and not fighting, unlike other snake hunter here in YT. Commended. Great display of expertise.
that's a big snake alright, even for a king cobra. there is something special about them, when they stand up and look at whoever dares to be near them... 🐍
What a big boy! You do an absolutely incredible work for preservation of Ophiophagus. We clearly see here that the animal is never agressive but defensive and your technique of the bag is probably the best. It is just here a little to small for this king size. All the best and big big congrats for your field work.
Surely the most intelligent species on the planet, not to mention the most magnificent snake you will ever encounter. They have a way of allowing humans to interact with them! Great rescue and release, love your channel! 🙏🙏
Not once did the King Cobra strike at Dr. Gowri Shankar! What a beautiful, intelligent snake. I am originally from Karnataka, the land of King Cobras!. Thank you brother, for your dedication in protecting our wildlife🙏
Good catch Sir! God Bless! Poor reptiles & wild animals are losing their habitat & inadvertently stray into human settlements. It's people like you who save them from death & extinction. 👍
Hi Gowri shankar. Nice to find your channel and connect after 16 years when we had visited your research station in Agumbe. That snake is one hell of a big daddy. Awesome specimen. Happy to see their kind thriving
Dr Gowri Shankar, as a wildlife enthusiast i have couple of questions for you. 1. Once you have caught a snake, you make sure that you release them back. but probably at a different location to its actual burrow(home ) that could have been very close to where it was caught. In such a case wouldn't the snake get agitated. 2. Is it possible that the fangs of King cobra penetrate even through the cloth you use. 3. How are they able to breathe inside the cloth until you release them. Am sorry if these question looks silly but am just curious.
You are an expert and very skilled but other snake catchers may be learning (?) from your rescue works so please incorporate safety gloves etc while handling cobras. Salutes to your work
Awesome work. 👌 Just one thing, try to put the snake in the plastic container as that way the serpent wouldn't be able to bite through the bag. Just want you guys to be very safe. That's all. 😊
What was the length ? Also how far away from habitation do these get released ? At any point in that region we have someone's house or field or similar right. So wont it come back to human contact again?
Had seen capture of one beauty in a bamboo forest in south India. That was even bigger. Sadly not able to search it out again. That KC was awe inspiring too like this fellow.
Snakes are beneficial to farms, they keep the rodent population in check. Although venomous snakes are fearsome, they seldom attack unprovoked. And in the rare case they do bite a human, it’s mainly a dry bite, no venom is used because humans are not prey. Fear and greed drives us to exterminate animals.
Hi sir i am watching your video first time, it is very nice to see you the way you handling it! Salute I would love to attend some resque calls with you, how could i?

It's population pressure on land.

Thank you. Thats point. I want to show how a king cobra can/should be handled gently and never stress or harass the snake in the pretext of rescue.
My goodness, what a beautiful specimen! Excellent job chaps! Keep up the good work! Cheers from South Africa. 🇿🇦
Magnificient snake, by far the biggest King Cobra I've ever seen on video. Glad to see it saved and relocated.
One of the reasons King Cobras are so majestic, they have no interest in hurting people. They know they can, yet they always just try to leave
that's a big snake alright, even for a king cobra. there is something special about them, when they stand up and look at whoever dares to be near them... 🐍

He was 15 ft. I release within 4-6 sq km in radius. That is their home range which we found out using radio telemetry study.
He's simply going to go straight home after the show, and release 😂
