Well anything that sounded even slightly okay back then was probably just a lucky coincidence for me lol

@@nanospiraI what I learned that true skill is if you are able to make "good enough" music every time, without randomization from "total crap" to "almost masterpiece". :)

It’s nice, also interesting to see how many things we do or create without having any recollection of it ever happening lol

Damn, I deleted all my shit pre FL Studio 12, but I can guarantee it wasn't even a fraction as good as this.
I used to make turbo garbage for quite a long while and had no idea what I was doing or what I wanted to do lol

A lot has been lost, at least one hard drive with a lot of projects is gone but for the most part yeah I’ve kept it all. Nice to see where we started you know :D And I mean sure mine sounds at least semi musical but it’s just presets and trying so hard to emulate a genre, but not quite knowing how

me (producing since 2004, i was 16 then) - started with cubase but switched to reaper and stayed there, so i never had the experience of FL studio, but anyhow.
if i look back to my older projects or lets say "the first ever" ones, i noticed that most of them actualy sounded better than my things today, bcuz back then i just did crazy stuff we would never do nowadays bcuz its way to over the top. but yea, my old files actualy sound better than my new ones (musical wise, not mastering wise) - it also helped me getting back to beeing simple without so many modern crap and start thinking outside the window again.

Funny how some things are the same across generations and countries, my projects from the late 90s / early 2000s are very similar 🙂
