I have a question. I have a 99 TRX 300 2x4. Is there supposed to be a small space between the front axle nut and the bearings, or do I just need to tighten the axle nut down more ?
I was thinking that the two-wheel drive model had a spacer between the bearing and the nut. If your spacer is installed yes the nut should be tight to it.
@@FourwheelerDoctor there is a spacer in there. Someone had worked on it and didn't tighten the axle nut all the way down. But I was putting a new wheel hub on yesterday and I put the spacer on the rim o had taken off when some people came around, and one of them lost the spacer. I used a bearing brace or race (not sure what it is called) because it was about the same size as the spacer. I would buy new ones, but I can't find them online and I'm not sure what the exact name would be to look for. Thank you for you help. If you by chance know what I should be looking go purchase, please let me know.
Could it have just been loose....NVM I see now...lol....I had one loose onced and I tightened it a half a turn at it was back in good shape....good video bud...

Thanks. This was very helpful.
Do you have a video to just grease the bearings?
How do you get the axel nut off without the four wheeler tires spinning?
On the 2 wheel drive model, the tire should not turn when loosening the axle nut.
@@FourwheelerDoctor I have the 4wd
What I am wanting to do is just replace the hub ,is that hard to do ?
I'm assuming in front. And is it a two-wheel drive model or four wheel drive model?
No grease?
The bearings are pre loaded
Do you have a video of a bottom end rebuild on a 300 your mh favorite guy to watch for rebuilds
Noni don't right now but I have one coming within the next couple weeks
