Sailing Star Men Medal Race Full Replay from the Weymouth and Portland at the London 2012 Olympic Games. -- 5 August 2012
Sailing was first contested as an Olympic sport at the 1900 Paris Games. Since then, the classes of boats allowed to compete have continually evolved to reflect advances in yacht design and technology. Equipment advances over the past 20 years have created a trend towards smaller and lighter craft, placing ever greater demands on both the athletic and technical capacities of the sailors.

Rest in peace, Bart. May all your tacks be lifted.
Звезда.. это этика и гармония , а уже потом яд и коварство.
Great stuff Perry🌍🏆🔱🤟😎🖕😁
These have to be one of the ugliest looking boats in the water. They really look awkward and inefficient.
8meterwish but lovely sails
Form follows function.
Second upwind mark rounding is insane
"I wonder if the people on the bank really realize how close this is... Probably not"
SHAME ON OLYMPIC SAILING FOR DITCHING THE STAR CLASS.
And the Finn
Jonathan Shore the Finn is still in
Good to see Star is out
The star, finn and 470 should NEVER be out of the Olympics
SWEDEN RULES! =)
i was10 and the race your watching is for gold and this was there last race for the star it was retired from the olimpics
Aardvark
Cool
YES
Nice
Conditions the same for everyone but...............making those sailors that were all career professionals sail that final race so close to the shore......and the race being double points was a nonsense.
My mom might like this if only as an excuse to use her binoculars. The only upside to going to a live event would be the experience of just being out there. I guess I could also have an outdoor picnic while I watched.
horrible hull for a racer 1 and 3rd leg was a very poor performance, again the hull displacement kill the w hole crew in every boat
I can't imagine how fans of this can sit through an entire race. I actually fell asleep in my chair for 20 minutes watching this, and woke up with the video still playing.
