Awesome 2015 Kone MonoSpace 700 MRL lifts At Sainsbury’s Longbridge

Here are two very nice Kone MRLs here at Sainsbury’s in Longbridge town centre. These lifts are very nice with nice sounding motors and all the qualities we enjoy out of Ecodisc lifts. There is also a Kone MonoGoods gated service lift next to this one which fortunately for me, was left open so I could get a glimpse of the interior. These lifts go between the car park under the store and up to the store itself.
Passenger lifts
Controller - Kone LCE microprocessor controller
Fixtures - Kone KSS 140 Vandal resistant
Capacity - 3000KG 40 Persons
Motor - Kone Ecodisc MX20 AC VVVF synchronous-axiel gearless motor (oh my word, what a mouthful!)
Doors - Kone centre opening 2 speed sliding automatic doors (2 sets)
Mechanism - 2:1 underslung roped overhead traction motor room less (MRL)
Floors - 2(-1/-1, 0)
Speed - 1m/s
Year installed - 2015 (4/5 years old)
Service/goods lift
All information the same as the passenger lift apart from
Doors - manually operated sliding folding gates
Floors - 2(-1, 0)

Yeah they are awesome lifts. They are probably big to accommodate the shopping trollies as well as goods and stuff like that

I assume the gated lift was a mod. I doubt it was installed brand new with gated doors.

I’m not sure really. These lifts are only 5 years old and so it wouldn’t be likely if they replaced the auto doors with a gate especially how it can be quite difficult to alter an existing control system to work with manual gates especially with Kone’s proprietary technology they use

@@blue.light.fazbear I meant I doubt it was installed *as an EcoDisc* brand new with gate, and instead, it was a mod of an older gated lift.

@@blue.light.fazbear ah mine has 2 big Ecodisc right next to cafe just through automatic doors like few steps away then cafe has a little 1000kg Ecodisc which sounds way better has the posher design cab and better maintained it’s pointless having that lift tho but I think it’s good
