As a fellow crafter, I totally understand what it costs to hand make things and the time it takes. Many crafters/artists don’t even charge enough for what they make.
I love how you shared your thoughts about tabling, people complains about price all the time, people needs to be reminded that art is more than it looks like! It's not only about the "Sticker", it's all the effort & skills & time you've put inside. Just like you said if people aren't satisfied or doesn't appreciate it, "just don't buy it!" :P Same to us, if they don't appreciate it then we should just let her go XD There's a lot of people who supports and admire your work! \o/
Agreed, I did one tabling fair type thing for school and it was so awkward already. I literally sold 1 item to an older lady. And of course, I also got 1, "These cost too much." person. I had to do another one which was less awkward at least. It was in my college business cost and they had us do it during a church potluck. So at least we got free food and everyone in the class went around and either bought stuff from each other or traded products so even those who didn't sell anything felt like they did. I don't remember selling anything that time either but my friend Jessi from the course said she loved what I had and we traded products, I still have the super cool ring she traded my item for. =^_^=
As a maker you will always come across people who believe the prices may be too high or compare your work to mass produced items, from stickers to cards, to paintings, to ceramics, etc.. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. That is the perfect time to educate them about your unique art, limited quantities, and your Las Vegas small business. I had a similar situation when I produced pottery. I would get comments that they could make it themselves or buy something similar at Pier 1 Imports (now closed) or even Walmart. Yes, they could make it, but at the cost of having to learn clay and no, they wouldn't find anything anywhere else. So I learned very quickly to understand their perspective and give them more info about my work. And let them know the art was made right here in fabulous Las Vegas!
Sorry people are rude! I bet you handled it with grace and kindness. (My snarky side would want to say “well my X amount of patrons don’t think it’s too much”). Also that shop looks super cute! I love the chandeliers. Wish I lived closer and could attend, maybe someday! I’m also keeping my eyes peeled for when tulip plushies are available again hehe they look so cute!!
It’s awesome see you thinking more and more like a business woman! As a perfectionist myself, I find it hard to delegate tasks to other people. But Ive had to learn the value of my time and mental energy. So if you can afford it, hiring someone to take care of packing the orders or something would take a big weight off your shoulders 🥰
It's wild that some people think you should undersell something that literally came out of your brain and that you put a lot of creative effort into! even if a sticker feels small to them, we know how much goes into it so I'm glad you had other people around to make sure you knew that
Thankyou for sharing this with us, apple cheeks. I know what it's like when people say that things are too expensive and it is annoying! But they don't think of the time that goes into handmade goodies. They don't know the struggle or how much it cost for us to order things in and that we need to make money too. It's okay, the right people will come along. Sending blessings! :)
Love the vlog as always btw I know It hurts to see people underestimate your work just because it doesnt match their taste , but this doesn't give them the right to act rudely or decided the worth of something they dont even know how its made I love that you always share the positive and the negative (yes we need to know the negative experiences it helps us be more aware of what could be coming as fellow artists) Keep going ❤
Hello Tiffany , as a fellow crafter in New York I understand . During my day job I am a Nurse and there are some people who just feel privileged. In feeling privileged people feel that have the right to just hurt other people feelings and just be ungrateful. Therefore, some days I feel unappreciated twice fold. Ungrateful for the care I provide during the day and the happiness I try to give when making and selling items. Privileged people think that their thoughts matter. However, in reality their thoughts are on the same level as anyone else's and they don't realize it. Remember they are just one person on the planet of 8 billion. That one bad sour patch kid compared to the other 8 billion flowers you will receive is nothing. Keep smiling and putting out great content .
Thanks for sharing your process and journey! It is so influential, especially in my own process. Through watching your videos, I have been motivated to start my own vlog and start attending craft shows/vending. Keep up the great work!
Okay some people are just haters you dont ask their opinion but they give it anyway Apple Cheeks don't let that person get you down ....send her to me 😆 😊❤❤😘
Agreed, I was in a different situation but that sentiment was the same. I was actually Door Dashing and I ended up having to deliver to an actual mansion. They were in a double-gated community and everything! And they didn't tip me. My last house/ delivery for that day was to a disabled man who was super sweet. I even helped him put the stuff in his house so he could put it away easier (he ordered groceries). He not only tipped me in the app but he gave me an extra cash tip on top of it! He literally is my biggest tip to date and he was struggling the most. It was so sweet, I cried.
My order came in! Thank you so so much! They are amazing! I pre-ordered hoping they would come in before my friend's birthday and you gave me plenty of time to figure out how I'm going to wrap it! She's going to love it!
I'm amazed you managed that stall all by yourself! I've done Satanic Flea Market (it's a London craft fair) twice now and I would not survive without my mum as my assistant and my partner helping us carry stock in 😭
Hey Tiffany! Sorry, I was wondering if you could let us know what manufacturer did you work with to make the totes and plushies. I’m starting a small biz and would love to know this! Thanks so much for sharing your world with us 💞
Hi I just stumbled onto your channel and I’m actually local to you. Love finding local crafters in my city, love your art style also. Have a great week
I remember going to an art event with a friend and every time I bought something she would loudly say how expensive/over priced it was and that I could just make it myself…UGH I thought it was so annoying and mean. I never shopped with her ever again. People like that really could just not say anything and move along.
You are amazing and such an inspiration to me. Is hard beeing your own boss and that lady had no reason to say all her negativity to you. You are doing such a great job. Love you so much. I wish one day I have something from you, just to have your beautiful energy around. Kisses and hugs.💜💜
1:39 THE BAGS ARE SO CUTE 💖 It's so satisfying to see them after all the planning you did in the past video! 10/10 would wear! 17:31 why is carrying a raw egg in one's pocket strangely so relatable 😂 22:06 aslkfjlsafjlaskfjaslk pls no! i'm so proud of you for handling this as best as you could and remembering your worth!! 💖
Loving this vlog from you! And so sorry that the lady at the cafe was being unnecessarily mean :(( her comment doesn’t define your work’s worth and we all love your art ❤
It can be hard to please everyone with prices, I've had someone tell me £1 was too much for a sticker, you can definitely tell who is a frequent member of art circles and who isn't in those cases. But you're doing great and your work is worth every penny!
I would LOVE to run into you at a craft vendor show. I would have trouble not buying everything on your table!! There's a quote that I really like that I feel applies to rude people like you are talking about: "If only closed minds came with closed mouths." I am sorry people were rude to you, your art is worth every penny you charge plus more!
I recently got into crafting and small businesses, and I found your channel and I am absolutely in love. I'm not sure why but your videos bring me a sense of comfort and inspiration! Not sure if this meant much but I just wanted to say this :) ps; you're super pretty >.
I do diamond art and decided to sell my completed pieces at a Christmas craft show. They told me I was pricing them right (I had one large painting priced at $200 because it takes me 6 months to complete one huge diamond painting) I just needed more smaller pieces that are more price manageable. People told me why not just give them away but I ran out of people to give them away too. My personal artwork didn't sell at all and that was expected because people are rude to digital artists like myself because they think the computer does all the work even though I had my iPad with me and I was sketching in front of them. You can't please everyone at these local craft show and pop up events. But it still hurt a little that I didn't even make my table back ($40 but still ouch)
NOOOOO I purchased from Moft for my iPad stand cases, bag and accessaries last year, it took them 16 weeks to mark my order as "shipped" and it never arrived!! The customer service line is never available. My $128 is gone for nothing... Please be careful when you purchase from Moft...
I can't wait to buy these tulips!! ♥️😭🌷🌷🌷 They are sooooo cute! Also if the lady is going to complain about a $5 sticker she should complain just as much about her $8 latte. At least she could've kept the sticker vs a drink that's gone in a matter of minutes 🤷🏾♀️🙄😂
People that complain about the price of things from creatives, are used to mass produced, but lower quality things and feel that 'everyone' should be offering a similar sort of price. When the fact of the matter is, it doesn't cost us pennies to make, like these other places, getting a gazillion percent profit on their items. Legit one time, i had someone complain about the price of one of my paintings, claiming they could get something from Wish for less. I legit pick up the painting they were talking about and threw it at the wall, i was again as hard as I could and it didn't break, scuff or anything. Turned around to see the person white as a sheet and went 'Can your wish painting do that?'. They shook their head and left and I got two sales from other people. It was end of day, I'd been fed up with comments like that all weekend.
You look like you are in your element! All the best as a fellow ex small biz owner, you are doing amazing ❣️ new sub here and looking forward to more vids!
im sorry to hear about that rude lady :-/ most people dont understand how much time and effort goes into making anything!! but aside from that your art style is so gorgeous and your table looks so cute!! :3
Oh my gosh I also have had multiple people scoff at my $4 postcards that I sell with my photography, and I’m like seriously I could be charging way more, so many photographers charge so much for their photos. I sell them in the bookstore I work in so maybe it wound be better if I was at an art event but yeah 😂 I think $5 is a great price for your stickers and I love your art 😊
You should not feel uncomfortable with saying "if you feel they're too expensive you most certainly can buy somewhere else. " Sometimes people try to make YOU uncomfortable so you'll give them money off. Rude behavior should not be rewarded or tolerated. ❤ Sorry you had to experience that.
I always love how you show the negative and positive aspects of your small biz! Not trying to be naggy but is the bunny duo coming back soon? Edit: Wait you watch the Last Of Us???!! I want to watch it but im not even 13 yet 😭
Hello, my name is Kaylie I’m trying to branch off into making bags like your cute tote purses but I’m having trouble finding a solid manufacturer! Do you have any tips?
The appropriate response for rude lady is, I'm so sorry you can't afford my items. Thank you for the feedback. Then look at another person and start a conversation.
I think all that massaging is excessive. Maybe put a small instruction card in with each one so people can do that part themselves? Save your hands and your time.
omg... i had one rude customer just complaining none stop and i notice she was an artist too... she gave me such a hard time and totally ruined my day sigh... i dont get why ppl have to put others down esp at an art market
I understand why you felt a little shook after that woman made the rude comment, that the stickers were too expensive. I guess I'm an introvert also, and I seem to loose my voice to reply at the time, if someone says something like that. Most people have NO CLUE whatsoever, on how much it costs to have one's art made into products that are quality! Maybe tell the rude person who complains about price, that your items are CUSTOM MADE for you, NOT MASS-PRODUCED! And that you need to order more than the minimum order from the manufacturer, to get a decent enough price to sell your product at retail. You also have to take into account the cost of getting the bulk shipments from the manufacturer to you. People are just thinking of how much a cheapo product would cost to make wholesale, but not of a quality product that you would only order 300-500 of. 😡 One product I thought of, did some research on finding a manufacturer, etc., required a minimum order of 1,000 pcs. I know I could sell at least 600+ right away, maybe even all 1,000, but the cost per unit was still a bit higher for 1,000 pieces than I expected, and I couldn't just order them first and sell later. It was way too costly for me. I would have to hold a pre-order sale and/or crowdfund it to fund the wholesale purchase. Even then, I would have to sell it for more than I had expected (and prob more than people would want to pay) because the minimum order cost per piece is kind of high. If you sell online, there are so many fees involved (not to mention fees and/or % that are higher when selling to buyers out of the US), that will quickly eat up your profit unless you charge enough to cover those fees! Like many artists, designers and illustrators, I started with (and still use), traditional drawing and painting methods and tools. I am highly skilled in the ones I use, but I also need to use digital methods to create and edit art now, because running a small art business means I have to put in plenty of time doing non-art things too! ☹️ Things such as researching methods and manufacturers and comparing them, if I want to launch new products, spending time being my own "quality control department" and packing orders and being the shipping dept, etc. Sometimes it seems there is so much less time to do art!
How mean, commenting that your products are too expensive was most likely a sign of jealousy, there is just no need to it. I would have asked what price she sells her stickers for and enjoyed the silence.
Hello darling! Arent you thinking about recruiting someone part time or solely for big launch to help you packing? It always seems like its taking a toll on your mood/mental health.
I feel like anyone who buys coffee is wasting money anyways because they will pee it out in about an hour. What good was that? 😂 But seriously what a rude person. If she wanted it cheaper she can do the work herself. Otherwise move along. I hope you feel refreshed soon enough, you deserve it!
The rude customer must be a random cafe customer who was having a bad time in their life and financially not stable...but im sure they spent 5 on one coffee which see peed out within half an hour 😅 the sticker can last longer

It’s not just a Sticker, it’s ART!! 💕
As a fellow crafter, I totally understand what it costs to hand make things and the time it takes. Many crafters/artists don’t even charge enough for what they make.
Very true! I tend to give a lot of what I make away to family because what I would need to charge to cover the time needed to make it is insane.
Recovering as an introvert is so relatable! And your work is SO beautiful, it is 100% absolutely worth what you're asking!
Thanx
Hey did you know you're one of the other small biz owner that motivates me to start my own ❤❤
Thanx, glad we could help.
honestly "dont be rude" is like generally a good rule of thumb 😹😹😹
i hope you have fully recovered from the rude person interaction by now ✨💪🏻

I use a flat sheet as a table cover! You can have it so it covers what is under your table (I have extra stock and totes under mine)

I like how you used the plastic bags - they are best for lessening shipping costs/returns, recyclable and easier to store. Smart choice.
Thanx
You are so worthy and your art is it, too! You do so hard , you must be proud of yourself. ❤
Yes we are, thanx.
You look like a goddess weaving the threads of fate on your thumbnail 😍

honestly fuck that individual. your ART is a business at the end of the day.
always here for you.

I find that people with the most money are the ones that complain the most. Sorry you dealt with that situation 🥺
Not always, someone with less money might complain the most especially when they don't have as much.
Absolutely love your progress and your products, always come back just to see you flourish more and more! You're doing amazing 💜💙
Thanx
The little market looked so cute! 😊
Thanx

Congratulations on so many orders!! Proud of you 🥰
Thanx
Where do you order your custom bags? They are so cute!
Asking as a fellow artist
I'm amazed you managed that stall all by yourself! I've done Satanic Flea Market (it's a London craft fair) twice now and I would not survive without my mum as my assistant and my partner helping us carry stock in 😭
but the craft fair probably has so many more customers! I could never do that alone either :'(
Hello Tiffany ! I received my beige and yellow tote purse this week it's sooo pretty irl 💓💓 massive thank you !! 😊
Ur welcome
Hey Tiffany! Sorry, I was wondering if you could let us know what manufacturer did you work with to make the totes and plushies. I’m starting a small biz and would love to know this!

If someone already said this- my bad. Make a quick tutorial on how to make the Plushys extra-plush. Flowers need love from their new owners.😂❤😊

I would love to order one of those tulips but not sure how???

Hello, my name is Kaylie I’m trying to branch off into making bags like your cute tote purses but I’m having trouble finding a solid manufacturer! Do you have any tips?
I been there lol with people saying a sticker is not worth that bla bla bla best way is sorry you feel that way have a nice day etc.
It depends on who made them and how much it costs to make it.
just random question do you plan on selling the B-grades Tulips? I would happily buy one.
The appropriate response for rude lady is, I'm so sorry you can't afford my items. Thank you for the feedback. Then look at another person and start a conversation.
where is your dress from!
What brand are the blue pants. I know she has mentioned it in a previous video, but I can't seem to find it. Anyone know?
I think all that massaging is excessive. Maybe put a small instruction card in with each one so people can do that part themselves? Save your hands and your time.
omg... i had one rude customer just complaining none stop and i notice she was an artist too... she gave me such a hard time and totally ruined my day sigh... i dont get why ppl have to put others down esp at an art market
Hello....what's the cost to ship 1 of those bags to Antigua 🇦🇬?
where is your dress from??
yayyyy, i caught an upload....kinda early lol
hello hello!
Hi I would like to do such packing work at home but i dont know how?
When are you going to open your shop again..?
It's open now.
is it too late to buy these?
One product I thought of, did some research on finding a manufacturer, etc., required a minimum order of 1,000 pcs.
Things such as researching methods and manufacturers and comparing them, if I want to launch new products, spending time being my own "quality control department" and packing orders and being the shipping dept, etc.
Sometimes it seems there is so much less time to do art!
How mean, commenting that your products are too expensive was most likely a sign of jealousy, there is just no need to it. I would have asked what price she sells her stickers for and enjoyed the silence.
Hi, the change purse you have there where did you get them made at?
Hello darling! Arent you thinking about recruiting someone part time or solely for big launch to help you packing? It always seems like its taking a toll on your mood/mental health.
Thanks for sharing your packing process. Would you be willing to share what percentage of your income goes towards shipping supplies?
40 present of my income goes towards shipping supplies.
❤👍
I feel like anyone who buys coffee is wasting money anyways because they will pee it out in about an hour. What good was that? 😂 But seriously what a rude person. If she wanted it cheaper she can do the work herself. Otherwise move along. I hope you feel refreshed soon enough, you deserve it!
Start wearing pressure gloves when working. Between your art, typing and inspecting your items; it's going to take a toll on your hands.
The rude customer must be a random cafe customer who was having a bad time in their life and financially not stable...but im sure they spent 5 on one coffee which see peed out within half an hour 😅 the sticker can last longer
Not believe everything that you hear😮

Tiffany you are gonna have some strong arms if you keep lifting.
People that feel the need to make negative comments just because are a waste of space lol honestly. Just don't buy anything. Simple
That's what you call "busy"!?
