I needed this, I've felt so far away from God recently and now I'm seeing it's cause I haven't been very obedient to him. I feel like I've been called to evangelize but every time I want too or I see someone who The Spirit calls me too I just shrivel up in anxiety and I can't do anything, which I hate myself for. I felt like I was missing something, and it was easy, it's God.

Okay I have a problem. I *hate* having decisions made for me. Also, I whine enough when I go on runs with my *earthly* dad (where I don't know the route), so how much _more_ do I whine in God's eyes? I've had my earthly parents make decisions for my life my whole fourteen years, and I HAVE HATED IT. I like doing things I like, and I *HATE* HAVING MY PARENTS DO EVERYTHING FOR ME AND NOT LET ME DO ANYTHING. I love my parents, don't get me wrong; I just hate how annoying they can be sometimes. How does this come back to God? I'm a *_whiner._* I _hate_ being uncomfortable (in case you can't tell already) and I don't want to be in a spiritual car, God stop in the desert, say "We're here" and then I have to go out into the dry land. I _HATE IT!!!_ I am a *control **_FREAK_* and that doesn't work with God, and I don't know how to fix it. Chris, sorry to ask of this again, but do you have any tips for how I overcome myself? Because I like being able to control the outcome.
Ok, I'm not Chris, but I can give my take on this situation here. 1. Talk to your parents and let them know that you would like to make your own decisions (as long they are smart decisions and not life-threatening ones). 2. Stop complaining. When you complain all the time, you might miss out on the lesson you were supposed to learn from your parents or whatever situation you may find yourself in. 3. Control your emotions when you realize that you are about to freak out. Count to 3 or walk away. Your emotions doesn't allow you to see the bigger picture sometimes (at least in my experience). 4. Seek God; find Bible verses that allow you to control your emotions because the Bible does talk about emotions, especially anger. 5. When you walk with God, you WILL be put in an uncomfortable position, whether in school, a job or sometimes even at home. Your walk with God is not going to be rainbows and puppies; it's an obstacle you will have to overcome in life with him by your side. 6. God won't see you as a whiner, but you need to build your faith and let God take control of your life. We are his children, so you have to trust him. 7. You are a child so your parents is going to treat you like one. Yes, it would be annoying but sometimes, of being annoyed, be grateful of what they do for you because not many people are lucky to have parents like you. Set boundaries and also put them down. Tell them that you would like to do this by yourself and ask them to guide you along the way, but still allow them to make mistakes because that's the only way you will grow. They're Caribbean parents, meaning they were raised with a more "hellfire and brimstone" view, making them more strict. I am round three, meaning they're much more lenient, but still willing to put their foot down when needed. I wrote this partly out of frustration with myself and God, which is _directly_ associated with your point about emotions, ESPECIALLY anger. Everything they've ever made me do has been for my benefit, even if I absolutely *h a t e* it. Emotions and being a control freak are my true crosses, and I feel like my heart isn't sincere every time I try to give Him the driver's seat, even if I AM afraid He will place me in the desert.

Go to God with your issue in prayer and as if you are talking a friend, and be brutally honest with him, don't hold back nothing because he aleady knows your heart and your true feelings towards him or rather giving about your fear of giving him control. Go into your room and just spend 5 mins with him and tell him how you feel with giving him control of your life or with him placing you in the desert. As someone who feels like they are there just know God will never bring you to a place and abandon you there alone. He's always with you. Read your word every morning before you pick up your phone, I suggest you can start with John or Matthew or whatever you would like. Also give him time; give God a two months period and see what he would do for you and how he will change your life around. A verse that helped me with anger was James 1:19-25 and another thing you can do is fast but as you said you're from the Caribbean so that can be a little hard to do tbh because your parents would ask if you had eaten etc. Search up on your situation and try to learn more about it and search up about verses that may even help you. I may not of been much help here but I would rather try to help you than leave you stranded.
