    I included rdl in my workouts twice week and i went from 165-225kg that’s solid 60kg in 35 days and that too beltless 😂

    The Romanian Deadlift is the best excercise for everything and everyone. Bodybuilder who wants to grow hamstrings? Do RDLs. Conventional Puller who wants to deadlift more? Do RDLs. Sumo Puller who wants to deadlift more? Do RDLs.

      Honestly I have been doing RDL since I started gym, but also adding rack pulls on my pull days improved my squat and deadlift because my weak spot has always been lower back (I guess it comes with the territory of being 6ft3). On leg days I rotate squats + RDL and deadlift + box squats/bulgarians

      im terrible at them. ive tried to implement several times, always wake up with a sore back. they just feel unnatural starting at the top position. i prefer to just deadlift then do leg curls or glute hams for hamstring work.

      @@sd4802 If barbell RDLs wreck your back try using DBs. Most lower back issues with RDLs come from either trying to stay too extended through your back and arching your spine or not understanding how to hinge at the hips and flexing at the spine instead

    Even with a rounded back, I'm still weakest off the floor in the deadlift. This makes sense because I spent 6 months deadlifting and not squatting and my PC is far ahead of my quads.
    Basically, skill issue, just get bigger quads!

    Oh! I've been wondering why doing pause deads right off the floor aren't really helping me. That makes sense tho because I always have a habit of not wedging as aggressively when I do this variation

    definitely lock out when i fail, but my qauds are my strength, as much as id rather it be chest.
    hate high rep dls. im not sure they are worth it. too fatiguing and sometimes my form will slip after a lot of dl volume. i usually do maybe 1 or 2 sets after my 531 then accessories or something less taxing

    is training the deadlift once a week enough to make strength gains for intermediate lifters ?

      deadlifts are v fatiguing so most only train it once a week at intermediate weights. Loads of programs do deadlifts once per week for strength gains, like BBB

    I have insane lockout strength relative to strength off the floor (conv puller here)
    I don't know what the issue is, quads or spinal erectors.
    Question:
    What do you think is a good way to find the actual issue, since symptoms of both weak erectors and quads is rounding at the start

      Is your RDL really strong relative to your regular deadlift? That's what my issue is. I'm pretty strong in the upper half of it (RDL) but I suck getting it off the floor.

    Thanks for the video.
    Fwiw a respected UK powerlifting vet who runs Genesis Gym in Wembley, London has a lot of his trainees do 4 inch block pulls after squatting because he thinks that's (very generally) the best way to train both in the same session.
