So did anyone else noticed how the man that brought ogrepon looks like an ape long arm short leg and dont for get the mysterious ape from the scarlet and violet book
One thing I noticed about Kitakami was that the Nosepass there always face north due to their magnetic noses. A nice attention to detail by Game Freak there.
When I saw the gameplay, I thought the dirrection they faced were teasing about something. Perhaps a spot where some mons can evolve without using Thunder Stone. 😅
Fun thing to note, is that Black Currants the fruit that Kieran is named after are actually a Dark Purple, and Carmine is a shade of Crimson >.> so their hair totally matches their names too X3
I kinda figured Ogerpon's face was actually an orange. 2 reasons. The phrase "You're comparing apples to oranges". Kitakami has loads of apples and were afraid of a creature with a orange. Also the Valencia orange. Which had a little mascot for the Fifa World Cup at one point in Spain. And this orange was imported to Spain. So Ogerpon could be from Paldea. Or its at least a reason for a orange looking Pokemon to show up when Scarlet and Violet are in a area based off Spain.
Well that makes sense, also while I expected to see returning Pokémon from generations 1-4 that didn’t appear in the main game as well as lots of brand new Pokémon based on Japanese culture stuff like kaguya hime, yokai and more, even though we only ended up having seven new Pokémon Since kitakami does have an apple tree area, but I didn’t expect a new apple pokemon because we already had applin, so applin was a perfect exception for the rule of old Pokémon returning in the teal mask from generations 1-4, that plus the introduction of dipplin, one of the new Pokémon introduced here and one of applin’s evolutions I wish gamefreak made lots more new Pokémon that fitted not only the Japanese culture that kitakami has but also new Pokémon that fitted the environment of the areas in kitakami similar to dipplin fitting the Apple tree area alongside the rest of the applin line
One more to add: The name Ogerpon should be a combination of Oger and "Ponkan", which is a type of citrus. It makes more sense Ogerpon is a citrus tree. Peaches in Japanese media are typically pink, so it doesn't match Ogerpon's face.
I just noticed ogerpon's eyes look similar to orange slices as well, i always thought that the peach boy is kieran. Momotaro vanquishes ogre and ogerpon is the ogre and as we see the aggressive behavior from kieran and fighting us for the ogre, i assumed the peach boy story finishes out in the second dc as it is referenced as part 2.
I'm fairly sure Ogerpon is supposed to be a citrus tree, not a peach. Peaches in Japanese media are mostly depicted as pink colored, similar to the old plush you see in Peachey's It makes more sense for Ogerpon to be a citrus tree to have an orange face. Also, the name Oger"pon" likely comes from "Ponkan" which is a species of citrus.
I don’t think that Ogerpon and her trainer are from Paldea and here’s why: 1.) When you talk to Briar at the Crystal Pool she mentions that the energy there has been identified in other regions besides Paldea. 2.) The hair-style and clothing that Ogerpon’s trainer has (though just a silhouette) is very similar to the style of hair and clothing used by the Native Americans primarily the Navajo. 3.) The crystals in BW2 in Driftvail (like you mentioned) It seems more likely that Ogerpon’s trainer came from Unova and the crystals he brought came as the result of minimal terastal energy within Unova.
I think you're mixing up some details. Specifically the first one. Briar is actually surprised (or acts it at least) when she sees the crystals at the pool emitting the same energy as tera crystals in Paldea. She wants to inspect these crystals to find out a way to bring the tera crystal phenomenon to other regions. Since she works at a school in Unova, she wants to do so precisely because tera crystals DON'T exist in Unova. As for the man's clothing, I gotta say idk anything about traditional Navajo clothing beyond a quick google search just now :'D I think if they wanted to go for that though, they would have given the clothing a bit more detail to make it clearer. Because as of now, the man just looks like a buff dude in ripped pants and shirt and a tie to me
Ah oh yeah. And with stuff like the crystals in Driftveil you always gotta be careful. BW2 came out many many years before ScaVio started development. Obviously those crystals weren't put there back then to reference tera crystals. Now if the developers remember that specific detail and rework them into a remake or whatever, that's a different story. But they, as of now, are definitely no proof of tera crystal presense in Unova
Yeah it seems more like the hidden pokemon of the loyal 3 is the true peach given that the story is reverse and they are evil which looks to be the case for the momotaro leader pokemon
The Keiran punching the monument which revived the loyal 3, One theory I've heard was because he was holding the teal mask and a vague connection of its restorative powers to withered plants somehow resurrected the loyal 3.
15:10 another thing to mention about the number 8 and the Loyal Three is that the shape of "8" looks like a chain, just like the ones the Loyal Three have in their designs

The fact that Blueberry Academy is located in Unova has me wondering if any of the Unovan gym leaders or Iris or even Cynthia will visit the Blueberry Academy for a battle.
Fun fact, in both DLC's, when Kieran is mad or upset, or just throughout most of Indigo Disc, he has no eye shines. But, when you first meet him, when he's happy or lying to look happy, and when he becomes your friend at the end of Indigo Disc, he does have eye shines. Also, in Kieran's room in Blueberry, if you got to the kitchenette and interact with it, it says it looks like it hasn't been used in a while, indicating that he wasn't eating during his training to be better than the player.
Me and my wife got Tungsten wedding rings. Heads up, the CAN'T be altered by a jeweler, the tools they use are actually softer than the rings. I lost quite a bit of weight after marriage and now need to by a new set, since the old ones just slide off

Don't know if someone mentioned it but, the Legends Arceus battle theme doesn't actually play during Ursaluna. Its actually a rendition of the Alpha Battle theme
I believe that the trainer of ogerpon was from hisui because if you look on the desk you see a zoroark mask and to me it looks similar to the mask alec wears in the hisuian snow anime.

One of my theories is that the peach pokemon. Is going to be the main villain, you can see its shell? At the store. You probably saw something like this on Reddit, this is where I got the main idea, but it states that the peach Pokemon is evil and it is mind controlling the poison trio and that the chains around them might be what's controlling them, and Kiki also might be mind controlled by the peach, and that also kind of explains why at the end, he wanted, Ogrepon so bad, because he wanted to mind control and corrupt him. In the files of the game, the pokemon are labeled as zombies, and there are other pokemon labeled as zombies as well. if anything looks weird about my text, it's because I'm using speech to text

Also the toxic chain worn by the Loyal bears some resemblance to the "Time Skull" that was the villains' vehicle in Time Bokan. Seems appropriate because the land of Kitakami resembles Showa era Japan and appears to be designed to help inspire a sense of nostalgia in players.
One thing that I find kinda cute is that at the festival, Kieran buys you a candy apple and mentions afterwards that there's a pokémon that looks like a candy apple in the region. And in the next battle after that, he has his signature pokémon, Applin in his team. Guess someone got inspired that day.
16:42 Oni Mountain and the surrounding area is thought by many Japanese people to be inspired by the real Mt Osore in Japan, the Buddhist gateway to hell. The crystal pool is also shaped like Lake Usori, which is located on the Mt., and both are volcanic bodies of water. It's really cool how Nintendo puts a creative spin on real locations, history, and folktales.

One detail I feel like I should mention is that the indigo disk IS NOT a separate DLC. It's the 2ed part of ONE DLC. We can't buy them separately after all.
Ok, something I see no one point out is the small chromatic shift on Kieran in a slow zoom in on him in the scene before we fight him at loyalty plaza for the teal mask. While not overlycommon, I have seen this effect used in media to represent poisoning and hallucinations, though usually along side other effects. One notable series i remember this being in is Ninjago season 1, when characters get sprayed with venomari venom. Wave effects, a pulsing fish eye lense and colour distortiona are more common effects used to represent poison, but Chromatic shifts are still used. Considering that the loyal 3 are all poison types, and we theorise that the mystery pokemon from data mines is poison ghost, its a wonder if perhaps there's a light subtle hinting to a poisoning of his mind in a way. His anger is true, no doubt that he is truly angry and broken, but its being amplified and blown out of proportion by a slow drip of toxins by this mystery poison peach and loyal threes toxic chains. But that's just my theory. Some food for thought.
I feel like his mind was starting to be taken over by the peach when he ran to the store and we found him there. I also think the reason that he wanted ogerpon so bad in the end is because he was taken over by the "poison" and wanted to corrupt ogerpon.

When I fought Carmine for the final time when you get an advantage critical She says line similar to one of Hisui Misfortune Bandits. I can only remember I bet they treat you like something.
Another thing to mention. If you transfer a shiny ursaluna from arceus into scarlet and violet with the Kitakami dex. You can see what shiny blood moon ursaluna looks like.
I feel like kitakami is located in the land of Sinjo. Kitakami is a very Japanese styled place but nowhere we’ve seen before making me think it would be in between Kanto, Johto, Hoen, and Sinnoh it would be perfect seeing that Kitakami has no coast and the other regions would fit around it perfectly.
I am watching this when the indigo disk came out. Terapagos' "tera form" was actually not a tera form. It was an attack form and the new form is the tera form.
At some point after the ultimate weapon AZ left kalos and along the way he met and bonded with ogrepon he lived in paldea for awhile then left to kitakami and then all that happens He tried to recreate his bond with floette with another pokemon but it backfired Shit hit the fan and he bailed was presumed dead and then at some point he went back to kalos It’s close enough to paldea for this to work AZ is the only one who would be that tall and fits the build
Ogerpon is not a peach. She's more likely a kind of citrus fruit or orange. Her star motifs even look like citrus/orange blossoms The Loyal Three's shinies are likely inspired by the colors of the IRL animals they're based on: Akita inu (or similar), Green pheasant, and Japanese macaque
Hell Valley may be too intense for a Pokémon game… Bro the main story and the DLC of ScarVio both have Pokémon on Human Murder and the DLC having Pokémon on Pokémon Murder… Hell Valley is pretty tame
As soon as I discovered the backstory of the Loyal Three in the game it made me ponder if we already know which Pokémon the Loyal Three were. Paldea has three new Pokémon that work. Bombirdier, Grafaiai, and Dachsbun. Bombirdier is already a pretty bird, what if there was an ugly one? Grafaiai is based on a delinquent/street artist, which society views as dumb. Dachsbun is a Fairy type which could be viewed as a weak type by manly men.
@@owloftheinkwell9925 there are lots if new birds. I think Bombirdier works well because it just feels like it is a vain Pokémon regarding its appearance to me. But Flamigo could also work well.

Mr Hoops, you'll forgive me, but I believe you committed a teeny mistake. At least in my game, Kitakami and Paldea can be both in night or day during a small amount of time.
The connection is Cristofer Columbus set out from Barcelona, Spain and went to America so in the Pokémon world he could of brought some of the crystal.
Personally think the day/night thing is an oversight, because if u leave paldea in the day it should be night in kitakami but with plane travel time u should land in day time

I play the games in Japanese, and "Uva" or "Naranja" is a term I have never heard in game. They are called Grape and Orange in Japanese (グレープ と オレンジ).

I feel like kitakami is located in the land of Sinjo. Kitakami is a very Japanese styled place but nowhere we’ve seen before making me think it would be in between Kanto, Johto, Hoen, and Sinnoh it would be perfect seeing that Kitakami has no coast and the other regions would fit around it perfectly.

Ogerpon is not a peach. She's more likely a kind of citrus fruit or orange. Her star motifs even look like citrus/orange blossoms
The Loyal Three's shinies are likely inspired by the colors of the IRL animals they're based on: Akita inu (or similar), Green pheasant, and Japanese macaque

Paldea has three new Pokémon that work. Bombirdier, Grafaiai, and Dachsbun.
Bombirdier is already a pretty bird, what if there was an ugly one?
Grafaiai is based on a delinquent/street artist, which society views as dumb.
Dachsbun is a Fairy type which could be viewed as a weak type by manly men.
