In the series, it talks about the menu: Khai-look-kei (Son-in-Law) is boiled eggs that are fried and then poured with tamarind sauce (it's very delicious, Thai people like it). The reason is called son-in-law's egg. I once heard my grandmother tell me story that Mother-in-law made fish with tamarind sauce, but son-in-law couldn't eat the fish. So they used boiled eggs instead of fish. I'm not sure, but it's actually called son-in-law's eggs. (Khai-look-kei) And in the series, the doctor joked that she wanted to know how to make his son-in-law's eggs. In order to really become a son-in-law I translated Google to talk to you. I'm glad more people are reacting to this show. I think it would make more sense to stick with TSOU because you seem to enjoy it more then Gap and also it's shorter (I think it's only supposed to have 8 ep - not sure). I do prefer Gap though but probably just cuz it was my first gl and it was different times (there were practically no gls out there when it aired).

Both Gap and TSOU are very good. TSOU is only 8 episodes so it wont take that long to complete. Gap is the standard bearer for all other GL series that came after it. It is most definitely worth watching.
So in the novel Earn is like 18 or 19 and it says that Lada waits 1 year before they do any hankypanky. If I remember correctly in the novel they date for 3 years and are apart for 1. But the show has different timeline. I think that in the show they are broken up for almost 2 years. The show is it's own thing. I would say it was inspired by the novel but doesn't really follow it.
Oh, there's a lot going on about Ling Ling Kwong (P'Doctor) and N' Orm (Nong Aen). If you want to know more about them, let me know. I'll recommend interviews and shows they both shared together. And their chemistry isn't just on the screen. There were some feelings between the two of them in real life too.
