Of course it's possible. A publication/research just increases your chances. As per my experience, they mainly ask about audits and ALS courses for a non-training FY2/FY3 position.
Thank you for your video Dr, I just passed my plab1 exam and now starting my preparation for the plab2 exam, unfortunately I cannot attend to any academy but I will try to do my best and hopefully I'll pass.
in plab 2 visa application should i select self sponsorship or family sponsorship if i saved 4000gbp from my salary and receive 4000gbp from my family?and is it okay if my parents send me this money to my account to show as financial proof?
I suggest selecting self sponsorship in your case. Yes, it should be fine if you add some amount from your parents' side. Many people do that. All the best!
Hi, 1) can you suggest any TH-cam videos which can function like an online academy lecture? 2) also can having mrcp1 help in getting the first job in nhs easily? Between mrcp 1 and clinical attachment, which should i go for to maximize my chance?
Hey, 1) here's a link to the good TH-cam channels as per my experience. th-cam.com/users/shortsFs8I9xTLCDE?feature=share 2) Ofcourse, it helps. Many hospitals have MRCP-1 as one of their essential criteria.
@@MumtazKeh thanks dr. Mumtaz.. But between clinical attachment and MRCP1, if I have to choose one among these two, which is more helpful in getting a job??
Hi Doc! I had posted on your Clinical Attachment video too, thanks for your help btw! I have finished my CA and was able to sit for an interview for a junior job in that dept. but unfortunately missed out on securing a place. 1. May I ask through which route exactly were you able to secure a job in the NHS after your CA please? Was it the one at the trust you did your attachment at or somewhere else? 2. If somewhere else -> did you apply internally or through trac jobs? Sorry for asking so many questions, I am just disappointed I didn't get the job and am eager to start my career in the NHS. I'm applying through trac atm, I just don't know if a CA in ED adds much weight to my application and increases my chances to get shortlisted. If you have any other tips or advise on how to go about trying to get the first NHS job, I would really really appreciate it! Thank you ☺
Hey, Firstly, don't get disheartened...it's fine even if you didn't get selected this time. What matters is that you sat for the interview and will prepare better for other interviews. FYI, I didn't get that job either. I had to sit for a total of 4 interviews before getting the job. It's difficult but it'll all be worth it. Till then, keep applying through Trac jobs and NHS jobs website. I'll soon upload a video discussing the common questions in NHS job interviews, that should help you with the interviews. There are some videos on TH-cam by Raja Adnan Ahmed that we're really helpful for me. Check those out.

However, visiting the country was the ACTUAL reason for me as I hadn't booked my PLAB 2 date then. People state PLAB 2 reason straight away to avoid any delays in the visa process, that's all. Quite early for you to start preparing for the Plabs. What you can do for now is start working on research/ case studies if you really want to work on your CV. Else, just focus on the subjects and enjoy the college life.

Hello
If we are in the process of finding a clinical attachment, would the justification of plab-2 be enough for a 2 year visa?
You get a 6 month visa for plab2 but you can plan to do a clinical attachment in that duration.

Hi, I hve my plab2 exam on 4 April when should I apply for visa. Thank you
3 months before you're planning to visit the country.
What reason should we give to apply for 2 years visa
I would be really glad if you give details
Did you join as fy2or fy1?
How long does it going to take to get pg degree?
What material/books/notes u used
I joined as a JSD on a non-training CT1 pay scale. In terms of FYs, I would say it’s the same level as FY3.
I haven’t given my Plab 1 yet. Should I apply visa now itself?
People usually apply for the visa after passing PLAB 1, when they have an idea about their probable PLAB 2 date.
Hi! I want to know if someone passes plab 1 & 2. And wants to work as a FY1 doctor, will we be matched by the system? Or will we have to sit more interviews etc
In order to apply for FY standalone posts, you’ll also need to score 7.5 or above in IELTS/ 400 or above in OET.

As far as I know, multiple entries are only allowed on visas with 2, 5 or 10 years of validity.

It varies from person to person. However, 3 months should be more than enough for almost everyone.

Not much different. Mostly has better mocks though.

There’s Aspire in Blackpool, common station and Friends in london, mosobhy in Liverpool and many more!
