My only regret and the regret of many, was that Vaylin couldn't be redeemed. I think Bioware recognized this and put the line about apologising for not doing more from your characters in the expansion.

true, could've done a bit better tho, some of the elements seem shallow... as do some of the romances... they're good, but they could've been better... it's almost as if there wasn't enough imagination to build them up properly
I had never played the SWTOR series, let alone heard the soundtrack. So at first I thought this was going to be boring, but I gotta say...the start blew me away..with the force..
Harv Begal you really only need to sub once if you just want to play story cause you get all available dlc (up to the point that you were an official unsub) and the exp bonus you get subbed is great but not game breaking so you should be fine and do an extra quest or two
Honestly it is amazing. You can play so much of the game free, and it is really cheap to get the knights of the fallen empire/knights of the eternal throne, and I have loved the game so much
The Fallen Empire and The Eternal Throne is the perfect star wars, because it's Family issues... Disney Take note on the character development, Music and Plot.....
Kotet makes us realise that the galaxy is not a playground of dark and light... Their war can be advantageous for other civilizations to rise and rule.. without eternal alliance where sith and jedi were together " first time", the eternal empire was invincible ........ There was only one piece of music in the sequels (Resistance Theme) that stuck out to me and sounded iconic. Yet, all of these SWTOR tracks really capture that classic star wars feeling. Be it a prequel feeling or OT feeling, the music is there.
The prequels weren't perfect but ona music level they were Godly. Instead of building on this advancement of the usage of choir and even more dramatic soundtrack pieces they just went back to bloody basics in the sequel trilogy. WHY!?!?

Just finished the campaign and holy shit what a bioware master piece. Forget Me Andromeda, the true bioware legacy is in this extension. What a fantastic story telling. i was always saying to me, damn give the next star wars movie scenario to these guys they know everything about how to make a star wars masterpiece !

@@trilobite2500 All eight class storylines feel like they could be preludes to the Makeb missions where some of the classes start to work together more closely but are still divided between Imperial and Republic sides, and then SoR comes along and has all eight join forces because Theron and Lana decided after the betrayal on Rishi that they'd need more than just the four characters from one of the sides, they'd need all eight, and Shadow of Revan and later Ziost is where they really start to work together, and finally Kotfe and Kotet is when all eight become a well oiled machine. I mean, Arcann's carbonite chamber clearly has a lot more carbonite prisoners than just our one outlander. I'd love to see an AU story where all eight classes are actively in play, especially during Makeb to Kotet. It'd only feasibly work if most of the classes were light side, but I could see Darth Nox and maybe the Agent stabbing the alliance in the back for a bit. Maybe the Agent is actually the real triple agent in the traitor among the Chiss arc or whatever it's called, instead of Theron. Or heck, maybe both of them are. Heck, instead of wishing for it, I might just write it myself!

For the longest time I looked at the KOTFE/KOTET storyline from a distance with distaste saying it didn't look or feel like Star Wars. After playing through both with my Jedi Guardian I gotta say it's some of my favorite Star Wars video game content ever made. It felt way more epic than the base game or previous expansions could even dream of being.
How? Not counting the idiotically and ridiculously overpowered EU bullshit that is Luke and Palpatine, most SWTOR characters would wipe the floor with the movie characters. Arcann is top 5 most powerful in my opinion, so him vs Vader wouldn't even be a contest.

Some of the Old Sith were thousands of years old and therefore trained endlessly to reach a near-perfect level of proficiency.
Umm Nihilus drained a whole planet... just like Vitiate. In a light saber duel though, Tulak Hord can beat both of them same time. Not in the force though.

I don't know if I'm reaching but, if you catch a line Vaylin says to your male Outlander during the Siege of Asylum Vaylin to your face says "I like you" with a smile before going evil witch, god, lord, supreme, destroyer on your ass. I think in that instance she understood what an actual cool guy the Outlander was but with those mind hooks jabbed in her skull, she returned to being, ya know, "crazy" ! If we were given the choice of sparing Vaylin's life I would have done it and tried with all my power to rid her of the demons Valkorian spilled and jabbed into her mind. And even if she couldn't fully recover they could've gave us a distant romance option like Luke with Mara Jade or Callista in Legends. Writers gotta get deep 😃

Young Vaylin should have been how Rey was developed in the SW movies: raw, untrained power, capable of demolishing everything, even without a lightsaber.

I know how people feel about The Last Jedi, but if you recall the scene where Luke teaches Rey Palpatine to meditate, and she senses the Dark Side for the first time, and Luke looks around in alarm as the ground starts to crack and crumble from the raw strength she possesses, you can see that she was phenomenally amped up. And for those who watched The Rise of Skywalker, regardless of one's opinion, you can see who she got that power from. Of course those of us who've become familiar with the original script of Revenge of the Sith understand that pretty much all Skywalkers from Anakin on down are Palpatines as well due to the influence of Darths Sidious and Plagueis.

Kotfe and Kotet were great expansions. They weren’t perfect but they were an excellent attempt to do something different and the BioWare team really tried to do something original with Swtor. However, I learned recently apparently a lot of people didn’t like these expansions, and they didn’t do great… and now all we get are cartel market ports of Disney outfits 🙃
Eeeh, not as clear cut as you’d think. Sidious could raze planets with lightning instantly, while Vitiate needed prep time. As for Vader, his power was about 80% of Sidious’. Just because he’s a cyborg doesn’t mean he’d lose to Malgus. In fact, Vader would be very familiar with Malgus’ abilities giving him a tactical edge. Not sure who’d win at the end of the day, but it’s definitely not as clear cut as a lot of people here say.
Although I would love to see a series about the Old Republick (I don't think 3 to 9 movies would do it justice), I do not want people like D&D or Kenedey to touch it. So yeah Lucasfilm would have to change before I feel safe about a Old Republick series... Although I wouldn't mind Dave Filoni to make such a series (animated or otherwise) I think he is the only one who would understand us and would thus be the safest bet. Can you immagine if the Series would start with Revan and would go on with the fall of Darth Vitiate/Valkorian? The only thing I whould have done different in that story would be, Redeeming Vaylin instead of Arcann.

The correct way to utilize the illusion of choice in a videogame. Even though there was a set path to follow, the choices made it FEEL dynamic and personal every step of the way. It's a shame that the game's engine is so old, the animations are so stiff and the graphics are so dated. I can't even begin to imagine how fantastic this would have been with more modern technical framework behind it.
i feel like after this story came out, bioware just gave because nothing could top this and it had it's own mechanics, specific companions for levels, overall just different from the base game
When you think about the Knights of Zakuul are more like Jedi Spartans or Romans because their soldiers actually look the part of a Legionary or Hoplite. Also pikes with a shields (that can resist lightsabers) will have the advantage against someone who just has a lightsaber and some Kung Fu to back it up.

On the contrary, all of the Legends Canon player characteres from SW:ToR (Hero of Tython, Barsen'tor, Commander of Havok Squad, Voidhound, Empire's Wrath, Darth Nox, Last Champion of the Great Hunt, Cypher Nine) are labeled as very much mortal. Due to gameplay, however, just like all other SW videogame characteres, they will need to die after the last expansion. And no, you don't always win in SW:ToR, lol. Examples: - Almost every 2nd story chapter - Nathema conspiracy Flashpoint - Republic side Makeb storyline - Ziost storyline - The Ravagers operation (unless you call doing someone's dirty work and barely escaping without payment a "victory") - Shadow of Revan ending The point is, you don't know if you win in the end, or at what cost. It's considered an MMO but totally playable solo. I don't bother with guilds and shit.

I don't know if I'm reaching but, if you catch a line Vaylin says to your male Outlander during the Siege of Asylum Vaylin to your face says "I like you" with a smile before going evil witch, god, lord, supreme, destroyer on your ass. I think in that instance she understood what an actual cool guy the Outlander was but with those mind hooks jabbed in her skull, she returned to being, ya know, "crazy" ! If we were given the choice of sparing Vaylin's life I would have done it and tried with all my power to rid her of the demons Valkorian spilled and jabbed into her mind. And even if she couldn't fully recover they could've gave us a distant romance option like Luke with Mara Jade or Callista in Legends. Writers gotta get deep 😃

Young Vaylin should have been how Rey was developed in the SW movies: raw, untrained power, capable of demolishing everything, even without a lightsaber.
Honestly if she was just powerjucied but had no idea how to control it it would have been really awesome.

@@bobthet-rex2718 That would make things a lot better. For everyone really. Disney gets their perfect character for young girls, Rey actually has to struggle for whatever she wants instead of getting shit handed to her on a silver platter and the fans get to enjoy her character development.
I know how people feel about The Last Jedi, but if you recall the scene where Luke teaches Rey Palpatine to meditate, and she senses the Dark Side for the first time, and Luke looks around in alarm as the ground starts to crack and crumble from the raw strength she possesses, you can see that she was phenomenally amped up. And for those who watched The Rise of Skywalker, regardless of one's opinion, you can see who she got that power from. Of course those of us who've become familiar with the original script of Revenge of the Sith understand that pretty much all Skywalkers from Anakin on down are Palpatines as well due to the influence of Darths Sidious and Plagueis.

Kotfe and Kotet were great expansions. They weren’t perfect but they were an excellent attempt to do something different and the BioWare team really tried to do something original with Swtor. However, I learned recently apparently a lot of people didn’t like these expansions, and they didn’t do great… and now all we get are cartel market ports of Disney outfits 🙃

Eeeh, not as clear cut as you’d think. Sidious could raze planets with lightning instantly, while Vitiate needed prep time.
As for Vader, his power was about 80% of Sidious’. Just because he’s a cyborg doesn’t mean he’d lose to Malgus. In fact, Vader would be very familiar with Malgus’ abilities giving him a tactical edge.
Not sure who’d win at the end of the day, but it’s definitely not as clear cut as a lot of people here say.
Valkorion would whoop Sidious's ass, Vader vs Malgus, I don't know how it would turn up but It would be great.

Although I would love to see a series about the Old Republick (I don't think 3 to 9 movies would do it justice), I do not want people like D&D or Kenedey to touch it. So yeah Lucasfilm would have to change before I feel safe about a Old Republick series... Although I wouldn't mind Dave Filoni to make such a series (animated or otherwise) I think he is the only one who would understand us and would thus be the safest bet.
Can you immagine if the Series would start with Revan and would go on with the fall of Darth Vitiate/Valkorian?

The correct way to utilize the illusion of choice in a videogame.
Even though there was a set path to follow, the choices made it FEEL dynamic and personal every step of the way.
It's a shame that the game's engine is so old, the animations are so stiff and the graphics are so dated.
I can't even begin to imagine how fantastic this would have been with more modern technical framework behind it.

When you think about the Knights of Zakuul are more like Jedi Spartans or Romans because their soldiers actually look the part of a Legionary or Hoplite. Also pikes with a shields (that can resist lightsabers) will have the advantage against someone who just has a lightsaber and some Kung Fu to back it up.

you can't die in the story :D otherwise it would delete your character and end the game so yes you are immortal :D .... No matter how menacing the enemy you always know that you will win in the end

It still does not mean, you are immortal. On the contrary, all of the Legends Canon player characteres from SW:ToR (Hero of Tython, Barsen'tor, Commander of Havok Squad, Voidhound, Empire's Wrath, Darth Nox, Last Champion of the Great Hunt, Cypher Nine) are labeled as very much mortal. Due to gameplay, however, just like all other SW videogame characteres, they will need to die after the last expansion.
And no, you don't always win in SW:ToR, lol. Examples:
- Almost every 2nd story chapter
- Nathema conspiracy Flashpoint
- Republic side Makeb storyline
- Ziost storyline
- The Ravagers operation (unless you call doing someone's dirty work and barely escaping without payment a "victory")
- Shadow of Revan ending
The point is, you don't know if you win in the end, or at what cost. You just don't die, just like in every other game, like KotOR. Doesn't mean, you are immortal
