That is actually a fantastic transformation of that car... Reminds me fondly of my Pearl Grey Jetta GTI16V. Fantastic colour with a great gloss and depth brought back to the paint - Good job.
I had a White small bumper Golf Gti 8v way back in 94 to 97. (B807 RLM) It was my 2nd car and already had 85k - I took it to 155k and it never missed a beat, only needed regular servicing and consumables. Can still remember embarrassing a guy in a 325i at the traffic lights who thought he'd get to the merge in traffic before me thinking it was 'just a Golf'. The Golf was rapid off the line up to 50/60mph! The BMW driver wasn't impressed. 😃
They really are the epitome of cool, aren't they? So capable but also practical...I guess the Golf has never really changed in that respect. I was a passenger in a MK8 Gti the other day, it's still all the car most people really need.
Wash plus was one of the first product video reviews I saw at the start of covid before I got into cleaning my car. Only used it once found the squeezey nozzle a pain getting the product out in the cooler weather, so it’s still in the shed
Yeah I find that my forearm definitely gets a work out (settle down!); I never really use it on my personal cars unless it's pre-polishing, but professionally I use it reasonably often, due to the deep cleaning it gives.
I agree on the trim, a lot of that was in very good condition (and the rear one, a bit of solution finish and then a ceramic coating on top, that would have them looking mint I think). I really think cleanser Polish is one of the best glaze sort of product on the market. Not that I've used loads of them, I do appreciate it that. Whack a good wax or sealant on top of that and you're well away.
It's very very good for two particular jobs - deep cleaning filthy cars, and stripping LSP. It can leave marring on soft paint though, due to how it works.
Whilst it's not the one you see peaking out there, you can watch this one being done th-cam.com/video/Wo51KksqvTk/w-d-xo.html Beautiful cars aren't they?!
Nope not on this one (it wasn't too bad, definitely not to the point that it would put someone off buying it, I think they were going to give it a quick vacuum out). This was really all about making it look attractive for sale (without masking any potential problems, but also making it look as good as it actually is - I was MOTd the week before for example).

Thank you! I've got such a soft spot for the Mk2, this colour seems to really suit it as well. Amazing how good the cleanser polish is at filling.

So true, I much prefer the retro cars like a golf compared to supercars. Great video.
Cheers! They're far more enjoyable do work on as there's far fewer creases in the surfaces to!
Stunning result! I'm sure it will wow the punters too!
I hope so, I was sorely tempted myself but I haven't got anywhere to park it!
I really enjoyed this video thanks for posting
Super job and yes, it really is a good looking car.
It's one of those things that's completely timeless in design isn't it?

Loved this video.
Great transformation 👌
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment! If you've not seen it I think you may enjoy the Porsche Boxter I did recently too.
Nice job and I agree about the plastics, they came up well enough
I'm surprised the cleanser polish did as much as it did

Very nice job on the Gti , I've got some wash plus in the garage I want to try when the hosepipe ban is lifted.

Anyone else spot what looked like an e30 M3 in the garage? Very nicee

Great job! I have same colour but 16v, how much to come and do mine? - it’s no where as dirty as garage kept under car cover!
That depends very much on where you live 👍
@@SuperchargedLlama Kent, where do you work from?
Excellent work - they didn't want the interior done as well?

@@SuperchargedLlama Am sure it sold in no time, lovely car 👍👍👍
