I wanted to do psychology but I am starting to doubt my original thoughts. Especially when I watch videos like this because I want to learn more about going to study psychology but I don't know if that's what I want to do anymore. Agh ( noise represents my feelings)
I want to study psychology too but for me I know in my heart that this is what I really want People want to do everything that sound promising but when it’s really you you will know 100% Do your research on the modules and the subjects go ask some tutors about it but never let someone’s else’s opinion determine what you do
Very interesting video thank you, that part when you talked about the people laughing at someone with schizophrenia I almost got sick how cruel and horrible must you be to do that to someone. Im glad people like you are going into this field you seem very passionate and goodwilled.
Thank you for giving an introduction to psychology. Do you also study facial expressions or body language? basically how to "read" other people (as an example, min 4:43 when you put your hand behind your neck and your eyes in the ground).
I’m sitting between computer science and psychology. Pretty much the age old debate of passion vs economic freedom in a reasonable time. I don’t think there is a right or wrong in making these decisions. But I’m leaning more towards psych
Omg you study the exact course I want! I'm in 6th year at the moment and am planning to put Psychology at Dcu as no.1 on my CAO. Thank you so much for this video, It is really, really helpful. I'm just wondering, since I've had such a hard time making my mind up about courses, are you glad you chose psychology at DCU or would you change in given the chance? How is the university?
Daniel Craig sorry I know this is a random, late reply but I was just wondering did you end up doing what you said you were going to do? I'm in sixth year and I'm kinda stressed because I want to do psychology but I'm just not sure
Hi Emily, thanks so much for making this video! I commented on one of your videos last year asking you to make this video and true to your word you did🙌 Really helpful😊
Hey I've applied for psychology and I want to do forensic psychology also, I got told on the open day that I'd do the psychology degree for 3 years, a masters in forensic psychology for 1 year and then 2 years experience as an assistant psychologist, then I could apply for a forensic psychologist job. So that would take 6 years. How come it would take you 12? Just want to make sure I've got all the correct information. Thanks :)
Yeah in my country it takes 3 years as well, masters and honors another 2 years and a Ph.D. for another 2 years. Then you have to do an internship and other stuff for another year. 6-8 years MAX. I don't know, maybe it's different in Ireland?
I think to be a licensed/chartered psychologist you need to have a minimum of a phD, which is usually about 3-5 years dependant on the course. On top of this you'll need experience which also varies, and because forensics is so complicated extra specialist training may be needed. I don't know specifics because I'm literally a first year psych student 😂 but I hope this helps!!
Just found your channel, I am someone that is striving to study psychology myself, vegan and also a youtuber! I am so glad I found you we are quite similar
Hi is psychology a lot of maths and biology?? I’m really unsure about wether or not I want to do it. Is a lot of it lab based and science and maths aspects?
