Awareness is the soul. Remain as awareness devoid of thought. Awareness being aware of itself is it!!! Observe the observer, See the seer, Know the knower. Anythingthing that awareness is aware of is not You ....so negate all except Awareness by itself ..then the Truth will be realized!!!

I'm a hindu but atheism has become so popular and I kept listening to people who treat theists as if they are retards,all these theories I'm not in a position to argue with as I don't know science etc so I've been so worryied and begun to lose my faith..it's a relief to listen to these words..I really want my faith back

i thought what we call "soul" was the mind... the ego...
which by the way would be composed of a rational and an intuitional side, and which would apear in the material reality as our physical bodies.
i thought soul was the mind, the ego, not our divine essence which is just what it is and can not be defined.

acharya shree,
i thought soul was one individual (yet not at all disconected from the other souls) interpretation of God.
i thought the soul was part of God, but not god itself, and therefore it was destined to be disolved and united with God.
so in my understanding soul wouldnt be "what is", the unexplaineable, the divine essence, God.
It is destined to go
back to It (God), it is part of It, but its not It.
