    Paṭicca Samuppāda - Dependent Origination
Paṭicca-Samuppāda (PS) or Doctrine of Dependent Origination as taught by the Buddha is based on the below “formula” of causality. By applying the twelve factors or links, PS describes in detail the causal process of Birth and Death. These factors are interdependent, linking one’s past, present and future life in succession. PS, also translated as Wheel of Life or Cycle of Existence, provides rational answers to Buddhist concepts on What is life; How and Why we exist; Why we suffer physically and mentally and How we can end such sufferings and gain our salvation.
PS is one of the most important and profound teachings of the Buddha. In Majjhima Nikāya, Sutta 28, the Buddha proclaimed: “One who sees Dependent Origination, sees the Dhamma. One who sees the Dhamma, sees Dependent Origination.”
The Late Venerable, in his talk, emphasized that PS is consistent with the modern scientific theory of relativity. However, it must not be taken as a theory of the evolution of the world nor as an attempt to show the origin of life.
The late Venerable Dr K Sri Dhammananda (1919-2006) began his Dhammadūta work in Malaysia in 1952. Over the years, he delivered more than 5600 talks and also authored more than 55 publications. We are grateful to the Anatta Group for leading the project in re-compiling and editing the talks delivered by the late Venerable.
    “When this is, that is
    This arising, that arises
When this is not, that is not
    This ceasing, that ceases.”

"JAA RAE DIWALYAA, TUNAE BHI TERI MAAI YAAD KARAE CHHAE!"
The METTA words are from my mother tongue RAJASTHANI to bid farewell
till next evening to the EARTHEN LAMP which dispels darkness when
we need light to dwell & work around @ the time when no day-light/light provided by SUN.
