If you find yourself saying, "If [insert +35-year-old superstar] can stay healthy for the rest of the season...", your team is probably cooked. Warriors, Lakers, and Suns are committing elder abuse by relying on these guys. Imagine the 2012 Heat asking Ray Allen to be their first option.

i dont get how its not discussed how bad these trades were for the suns. gave up a contending roster (i dont think they wouldve won) for a roster that isnt in the playoffs and somehow lost draft picks in the process. this is worse than the paul pierce garnett trade by a mile
The Suns center rotation is the worst in the NBA, bar none. Nurkic's play has dropped off a cliff this year, and Plumlee is as bad as Eubanks was last year.
I said it at beginning of the season when they were going off. Those games were really close and were only won in the clutch with KD going off and playing insane. It was never sustainable and teams adjusted
The Suns gotta trade Beal for Jimmy as a LAST ATTEMPT to save this season and if it doesnt work blow it ALL up, dont re-sign Jimmy, trade KD, trade Nurkic and maybe even trade Booker because this hasnt been working at all. They already had 3 different coaches and none of them made it work, the problem is something else. The Ayton-Nurkic trade was a huge mistake for them.
Big Brain Idea - Instead of getting Beal, Pat Riley convinces Phoenix to send them Booker for Butler. Still fixes the skillset overlap problem for Phoenix. Miami sends their 2029 & 2031 1sts as well, then in a separate trade (to stay CBA compliant) sends them Kalel Ware. For Phoenix trade ends up being essentially Booker for Butler, Ware, and 2 1sts. Seems like a fair deal if they want to still try and compete with Durant as opposed to tearing it down. For Miami you get your long term star to pair with Bam.
Your best players are 3 scorers who needs the ball. You don't have a True PG that can decide who gets the ball and when, no one on this team is a true defender or rebounder so... Yea
Booker and kd are both great catch and shoot players but they just aren’t used that way. Tyus is a true pg but a Tyus-Booker-Beal lineup is horrible defensively
Kenny I looked back on your predictions as well and I'll be honest, you hold to much stock in the old guard. The league is shifting and you can predict teams led by guys in their mid-30s.
Personally i think it has more to do with the collapse of defense in the nba and the over-reliance on 3s. Big 3s dont really work anymore, but a few teams rely on big 3s and big 2s to make it to the top, but that formula is dying. JT and JB on the Celtics are great players, but they're not top 3 in the NBA each. However, they have a huge supporting cast and that cast can defend well enough to compete, and they can shoot. i was at the hornets game and honestly, KD looks different than when he played us on the nets. Hes moving slower, missing shots that would have gone in, taking bad shots. he was in great motion with nurkic and plumlee but honestly miles bridges was able to prevent him from getting to his shots which is really saying something.
but irregardless, the center rotation is horrible. Watching nick richards dominate nurkic was very disappointing, there were plays that seriously made me put my head in my hands.
Teams in the NBA have spent a decade building their programs like the Warriors of 10 years ago. The multiple superstar formula has been obsolete since 2016. Now you need a 1 thru 10 roster running the league. Look at the underachieving teams with stars. LAL, PHX, Milwaukee, SAS, even Dallas when one of their stars go down. They're top heavy and no one outside of the starting five is making an impact.
Beal is currently the only NBA player with an explicit no-trade clause. Some other players can't be traded either bc of 1 year deals or signing an extension (like Lauri Markkanen)
Speaking of ending eras, I also think teams are starting to stand their ground on paying guys over 35. Teams aren’t wining with guys that age being the main dudes.
As a wolves fan this definitely lets me take a step back and see the kat trade in a positive light. This would be them in two years if kat remained on the roster
Nobody is trading for Beal the only one that’s values is DBook or KD that’s beals contract is the worst contract of all time it’s up there with Ben Simmons.
On the subject of Ishbia going all in- I will say, I give him props for trying. The previous owner was so stingy, he did the bare minimum to help this team be successful. So i appreciate Mat for that. And i understand why the move was made, especially considering what was given up for Beal. But I think this is a case of “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.”
I said they screwed up with the KD trade. And they called me a mad man. Also, their first 10 games they were overperforming their bet rating by a huge margin and everyone just ignored it even though we all know how that ends.
I just don't understand teams that make trades that everyone can see doesn't make sense. Westbrook to the Lakers, Beal to the Suns. Even the most casual NBA fan could see these were bad moves.
The Suns and Heat were the 1 seeds in 2022. The Jazz were still a top 5 seed. The Thunder and Rockets were at the bottom of the league. How crazy this shit can change in only 2-3 years.
I dunno man as a wolves fan that watched the Suns Wolves game, the first half of basketball D book just hit every single shot and blew by defenders with high energy play. They did something most teams can’t do though. They made the wolves offense look good 😂
As a suns fan I can’t stand to see another rebuild last time we just drafted shit but now we have nothing so we need to blow it up now for the best chance of having a successful rebuild
Frontcourt, backcourt, everyone always quick to solve those problems, here we are with those “problems” virtually solved on paper, but now centercourt takes scene, and it’s too noticeable how much flaws is in the phoenix suns’ system
I genuinely think that some teams are meant to just be bad. Minnesota, Phoenix, Clippers, Sacramento. Some kind of cosmic force is hell bent on forcing them to forever be bummy poverty franchises that won’t win anything for as long as they exist
I've watched the phoenix suns since 87-88 when we picked up KJ, Tyrone Corbin, and Mark West. For almost 40 years, I have never seen such a terrible, lackadaisical, and uncaring team on this team. Even the 2010s teams tried harder then this group.
If you compile a big 3 with 3 max contracts, at least make it a coherent trio and make sure it's actually three players worth of their contract. Beal wasn't worth that deal, even without hindsight, and has too much positional overlap with Booker. There's a reason about those reports of both Vogel and Bud wanted to have a real PG.
As a suns fan I have been saying this for a bit. It’s probably over. I love dbook, love kd, Bradley’s all right. But I wouldn’t be mad if we traded all of them and started tanking
this might be a hot take but i think they should blow up the roster. that includes tradint KD and Book, i doubt KD will be playing for much longer and tbh i just dont think Booker can be a first option on a championship team. i believe its time for a rebuild, instead of just riding this out when we all know how it will end. i just don't see where Phoenix can go from this point.

When the thumbnail don’t load and you left just guessing..
Dope video kenny 🔥✊🏾
It was doomed to fail from the begining
Don’t end it Kenny trust me, you have so much to live for. Think about your fans and family.
You can pretty much switch Houston and Phoenix positions in that prediction video which is pretty wild.
Nobody is trading for Beal the only one that’s values is DBook or KD that’s beals contract is the worst contract of all time it’s up there with Ben Simmons.
I really wish y’all would stop talking about my rockets. Only player I’m considering is Fox. We don’t need Butler and Booker ain’t that guy..
i miss 2021/22 suns, it’s insane man… not one person on earth thought beal was a good trade
I gave up on the suns after the mavs series and i feel a lot smarter now for that
If your the rockets is it more important to have depth or both booker and kd?
On the subject of Ishbia going all in- I will say, I give him props for trying. The previous owner was so stingy, he did the bare minimum to help this team be successful. So i appreciate Mat for that. And i understand why the move was made, especially considering what was given up for Beal. But I think this is a case of “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.”
I said they screwed up with the KD trade. And they called me a mad man.
Also, their first 10 games they were overperforming their bet rating by a huge margin and everyone just ignored it even though we all know how that ends.
The grizz should swoop in for KD with every draft pick they have. The thought of a full strength grizz with KD would be crazy
They made the wolves offense look good 😂
“Suns in 4” feels like a fever dream 😂😂😂
Jimmy Butler on the Suns would raise their Headcase Coefficient to critical levels
They just don’t have any depth. I really like the Brad to the bench move.
Can anybody tell me what website he's watching the game replay on?
two drafted players one acquired player is the way you make a big three work, just look at the Cavs, they've done it twice
Phoenix sons
0:20 dw kenny, i'll give you the sun, the rain, the moon, the stars and the mountains.. I"LL GIVE YOU THE WOORLLD and all that you wish for.
I genuinely think that some teams are meant to just be bad. Minnesota, Phoenix, Clippers, Sacramento. Some kind of cosmic force is hell bent on forcing them to forever be bummy poverty franchises that won’t win anything for as long as they exist
"I picked the one spot where they look competent" 😅😂😅
I've watched the phoenix suns since 87-88 when we picked up KJ, Tyrone Corbin, and Mark West. For almost 40 years, I have never seen such a terrible, lackadaisical, and uncaring team on this team. Even the 2010s teams tried harder then this group.
The owners of the Suns, Lakers, and Warriors should teach a class on how to waste generational talents
Just the video I needed rn
yeah your take on the suns was one i never understood
the notion of Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks being on the same team is kind of hilarious to me ngl. They're like diametrically opposite type dudes.
If you compile a big 3 with 3 max contracts, at least make it a coherent trio and make sure it's actually three players worth of their contract. Beal wasn't worth that deal, even without hindsight, and has too much positional overlap with Booker.
There's a reason about those reports of both Vogel and Bud wanted to have a real PG.
they called me crazy for doubting the suns 💀💀
i work for mat ishbia’s mortgage company and it’s weird watching this like 20 feet from his office lmao
Thought that was my kid going off, sent me into dad mode real quick
As a suns fan I have been saying this for a bit. It’s probably over. I love dbook, love kd, Bradley’s all right. But I wouldn’t be mad if we traded all of them and started tanking
this might be a hot take but i think they should blow up the roster. that includes tradint KD and Book, i doubt KD will be playing for much longer and tbh i just dont think Booker can be a first option on a championship team. i believe its time for a rebuild, instead of just riding this out when we all know how it will end. i just don't see where Phoenix can go from this point.
Agree with blowing it up but Booker was the number one in 2021 when they went to the finals
when PHX imported the 2017-2022 era Blazer center core they were cooked from then on 🤣🤣
Would love to see you do this video for the timberwolves
I like the fact the nba going through this that tax situation is great,i hope jimmy dont get traded n the suns continue to suck
