Great review and Bang on. Great for beginners or even for a pro to rock a small party with minimal set-up AND ability to do a full DMX light show too! Kudos to Numark (DENON) stepping up the game, once AGAIN.
I've always been a huge fan of Numark, and this isn't something I would ever buy. But for the price point it's actually super impressive. I wish I had something like this when I started djing
@@GetintheMix I’m not a new dj but definitely would use it. If it was able to control dj softwares I would purchase right now. Engine prime doesn’t play videos nor karaoke etc…
A great backup unit for sure. Love my P4 & I really like Engine DJ after having migrated from Serato 18 months ago. The only issue for me is the poor mic options but on the plus side, it has an xlr out. For the price, a great backup & more affordable when compared to the Prime Go.
Imagine plugging this into a battery a throwing a killer afterparty on the beach with 1 piece of kit. That makes you forget the 4 hot cue buttons and tiny pitch faders.
I like the idea of speakers as a part of the unit, but one might be willing to spend more dollars if those speakers had some authentic, real power applied to them (e.g., have Bose create the speaker system for the unit including an exceptional, clean amp under the hood). At the end of the day, with this unit, you couldn't rely on the current built-in speakers as a source for serious entertainment.
You actually have a pitch button- + where you can decrease or increase the pitch percentage and view on the screen, but I do understand that it could be just an extra process.. perhaps for a beginner it might not be a noticeable thing cause it’s just a matter of getting used to it
Thanks for the timestamps. The built in speakers compromising 8 pads is a no-go for me but I can see why Numark did that. In time for Xmas these things are gonna sell like crazy cus parents don't need to go out and buy another thing. Right out the box their children can mix Jingle Bell Rock to Mariah Carey lololol
For the price is a bargain for a stand alone. For me I would use as a back up and something I try out new songs and mixes without the hassle of bringing out speakers 🔊
’m waiting for the UPGRADE of the NUMARK NS7III I can see how this would look 👀 with LARGER SPINNING PLATTERS, 4 CHANNELS with LARGER SCREEN yes let’s go NUMARK!!!! The NUMARK NS7III is the FIRST and BEST CONTROLLER hands down because it’s still being COMPARED to NEW CONTROLLERS of TODAY Great Job NUMARK!!!!
This is a great piece of kit! I would love to know the sales figures of the Denon Prime Go as i consider that a massive flop (small jogs etc and a 1k price tag). For me this is exactly the right product & price point only gripe would also be the small faders and speakers are abit pointless imo.
Hey do you think the numark is the best starter and for mobile dj? What would you recommend as I want the Bluetooth, small screen built in if pos. Thnks
I see by your review and others about the Mixstream Pro the only downside is the mic and the FX. I feel the same but since this is mainly an entry-level unit you can't expect too much out of the gate. Hopefully, firmware corrections are around the corner. I still say for all it has for the affordable price point, if you are a beginning DJ, you should consider buying this unit. I may purchase one as a backup and travel unit so I can leave my DDJ 800 at home.
Tbh the speakers are a good idea but numark could of course sold with or without and added extra pads for the same price..definitely going to get one once they become 2nd hand. 😁😁😁😁
Really good device for the money considering the nearest device to it is 1000 UK pounds running the mixtrack Pro fx with a ipad and djay Pro atm which I love but tempted to swap out for this
I just bought one. And i know you dont need a computer, but i want to hook it up anyways and im having trouble sending the audio out to the speakers. Im hooking it up with the usb cable. Can anyone help
Yes! In stock on launch day. Available from us if you're in the UK: www.getinthemix.com/dj-equipment/dj-controllers/numark-mixstream-pro-dj-controller.htm
Nice vid guys. I'm looking to get my gear as a beginner and use for small family parties etcI was looking at the numark platinum fx but them came across this last week. What would you say for someone in my position?
The convenience from a standalone system really is great. If it's comfortable for your budget, we'd definitely recommend getting the Mixstream Pro. However if you have a reliable laptop and don't mind carrying that about with the Platinum FX then that is a good option, and will save you a bit of money. As a beginner, it would be understandable if you were more comfortable going on the cheaper side on your first bit of equipment. All down to how keen you are to make good use of the equipment and how flexible your budget is. Hope that is helpful to you 🙂
The Architect Of Sound: This is not an ersatz product and Numark's developmental department really interpolated all of the great selling points to make this more marketable. Let's be grok, you certainly cannot use the speakers as a booth monitor since it does not have an amplifier to push the sound; so that, the simple solution would be have it turned off. Yet, I can bring this along to practice and possibly creating a small audience wherever I go. You can never have enough exposure; also, I would also use it as a back up to my Denon players and turntables. I think of this as having a strong bench which would ultimately mean that I would use this gear during the course of a night. I am firm believer in setting up as much equipment to create a different sound than anyone else.
Had mine a few days and it’s not great tbh , no master output meter , can’t adjust effects so delay is awful , no knob to adjust the effect so it whacks on full pelt raising the volume , need a serious update for the effects , they are unusable
Is this thing sounds like a dream you can use engine you could just plug in and go with a regular USB stick with music on it I love this thing not to mention I can mix the old fashion way since computers are too complicated for me to do this thing sounds really good and though I probably have to hook it into my existing mixer so I can record into my digital recorder or my computer because I like to record what I mix even though it's just a hobby for me
@@hatdownlowofficial RR is built better leaning more towards the feel of a professional gig controller. The mixstream is very convenient and impressive for the price. guess it depends on what and how you want to play. if you can get one discounted at an open box for 50-80 less and just want to do blends and play small parties i would easily take the mixstream and call it a day.
It's more than a handy touchscreen though, the big difference between this unit and the DDJ-800 is that the DDJ-800 requires a laptop/computer, the Mixstream Pro has a built-in computer and can be used completely standalone, analyse, manage, and load your music all on the unit. Of course the DDJ-800 is an excellent controller, but worth noting it is much more than just a touchscreen on the Mixstream.
Lmao. Glad you're happy with your 800... but it definitely CAN NOT do all that the Numark can! You're comparing apples and oranges lol. You need to educate yourself on gear before you make comments like that bro.
That's a really good point. One might take the perspective that the unit is nothing more than slick toy, and it would be difficult to argue against that. There are some really impressive things about this controller, but there are also some pretty big, glaring flaws with it too.

Thanks for sharing! Yes the price makes it seriously attractive as a backup and for beginners 💪
The double paddling really got me! 🤣
What about recording mix ? Any options?
I travel the USA for work and that would be the absolute perfect controller for traveling...gunna get 100%
Sure is a dream for portability!

They should build an upgrade unit without the internal speakers.
bigger jogwheels, 16 pads, usb on top and no speakers i would buy today. yep

Bigger without the speakers and larger spinning platters like the NS7III and NS7III

Hello, nice video , could I know which is the format the Numark saves mixes?, is it on MP3 or WAV? Thank you.
Can you usue amazon music unlimted ?
Nice video as normal bros! Does this controller work with serato? Or is it just stand alone unit?
Is it compatible with Serato?
As of right now,the latest update is so far vdj pro which is great .

Do you need to solder when replacing crossfader on this unit?
Virtual DJ works on this unit?
It does now w the new update which is a banger to me!
Can you record your performances in standalone ?
Should I get this or the xdj-rr ?
This or Xdj RR???
I've heard people complain that this is less professional because it doesn't have a special effect sampler... any thoughts or workarounds on that?

Según tengo entendido se puede grabar la sesión por USB o tarjeta SAT
You can record to one of the USB/SD card slots within the Mixstream, so no need to hook up to external devices.
Doesn’t it work whit usb MP3 and Apple Music?
All I want to know is whether this thing is bus powered to make it truly portable
Can be powered by a power bank that provides 12v DC output.
How u gonna say stand alone when u have to plug it in
No sound from jog wheels
Not for me but excellent device for anyone looking to start up with no music collection.
