On the plenum to inlet manifold, it's good practice for anyone doing this to do the end bolts up last as sometimes if you tighten the end ones the tabs can snap off the manifold due to not having much material. Best practice to do all the middle ones first followed be either end last just to be safe this helps it from putting too much tension on the end ones. Hope this helps anyone 🙂
Finger blaster will be proud of you. That MAF code is quite generic I've found as it comes up for a few reasons like boosts leaks too. Could just need your MAF and MAP cleaning with electrical contact cleaner. MAP sensor is easy to access on the cold boost pipe with Headlight off.
You will need some mapping done soon, especially after the exhaust if getting a sport cat. I kept getting that code too, it never came back after putting a dreamscience map on the car with the dreamscience imap

Have you tried putting off the traction control as soon as you start the car? Does the code then stay away? If yes, you have a hole somewhere. Mine was in the vacuum line on the bottom of the plenum. Had a hole the size of my finger in it. Have a look at all your vacuum lines and do a proper boost leak test. Let me know if you want more info.

It would of been worth getting the polished lower inlet manifold while replacing the plenum. Good old auto specialists do a exchange deal like the carbon dash parts you installed. I'm supposed to be getting a new car (RS3 or AMG) but now I want to keep modding my ST.
did you struggle to get the 8mmbolt in nearest the throttle body? i cant get mine in due to the throttle body allowing only half a hole for the bolt. do i fit the plenum first then refit the throttle body after?
I was going to order the rs slam panel but couldn’t see any holder for the bonnet strut - where do you put the bonnet strut with the new rs slam panel?
I have the red plenum on mine. May have to repaint it though as the paint has started to flake on the bottom left edge. Don’t know why as the rest of it is still mint. And funnily enough i cut myself on the exact same bracket installing mine 😂

Although it looks great it’s pretty unnecessary for the power you are running and the mid range torque gains really are minimal. But it looks class though
Block mod is dodgy, I have had the steal liner system from dream science fitted, expensive but far more safe than little bits of metal wedged between the liners. Which is a cheap fix for a possible major issue's in the future. Car looks sweet.
I'm also doing a bonnet latch conversion on my car so that you can pull the bonnet from inside the car simply because there is always a problem with these not working, the white plastic bit comes out the lock so when you put the key in it doesn't work, I have replaced my lock 3 times and it is really hard to get the bonnet open if the lock doesn't work Here is a youtube video on how to do it th-cam.com/video/9NwGBu4cICw/w-d-xo.html

air mass code is caused by turbulant air hitting the sensor caused by the 90 degree bend at the air filter !air mass sensor needs linear air flow !

You can buy the MAF sensor by itself without spending 100s on the housing and MAF.

Liam Bell there is actually another holder in the metal slam panel just behind where the original holder in the plastic slam panel was/is.
