That woman crying was Dave's mum weeping in the aftermath of his father being deported
That outro always been heart wrenching. His mum just unleashing her emotions at the end, its crazy still. Can't imagine what she's had to go through, with her oldest son having to serve life, her husband getting deported to Nigeria, its all mad. Dave is just different, true artist, i'm glad he's been able to make it out, and make his mum proud.

Jesus christ. This is the first time i heard this song with this reaction. Its so real. And listen I'm white. I know there's a lot in there about being black but theres so much that transcends just race. I grew up in Dublin, Ireland in a rough neighbourhood that when I told people where I was from they would wince and say jesus what was it like? It was rough man. My best friend got his face caved in by a gang of youths we were beefing with. Ended up in hospital and never was the same again, and he wasn't even really in the gang life, just gulity by association (in the wrong area when trouble came looking). I've seen front doors kicked in and young fellas dragged out and their faces kicked in while their parents watched. I've seen crazy fuckers throw petrol bombs at garda cars (police in Ireland). I've seen a moped pull up to the field I was in and fire shots at us because a guy was on the hitlist.
I went and robbed innocent peoples cars with these scumbags. I jumped one or two guys for no reason because the boys I was with wanted to. Taking off soverign rings before they did it (as if that was honourable). Funny thing is I've been told I sound posh now, that I don't seem rough - like I didn't grow up in the streets. And thats because I got away. And it actually wasn't by choice. I messed with someones girl when I was drunk (she actually climbed on top of me when everyone was asleep and drunk 19 year old me went for it). And then didn't she go and tell all the heads that I did it, and made me out to be the bad guy. My life was threatened, I couldn't leave the house without fear I would be killed. I feared for my family and my two young sisters. 3 different cars I owned had paint stripper thrown all over them and destroyed. I was out and nearly jumped by 5 guys and luckily I had two older friends with me that protected me. I gave my cousin a car because I had one spare. The gang came up and put the windows through. It was hell and thank god all that is in the past.
I seen another of my best mates get dropped from a suckerpunch, where he hit the curb and it busted his front teeth and knocked them out. Literally for no reason other then the guy was a scumbag and drunk, my mate was in with the gang with no issues. These gangs you think are your friends will turn on you in an instant. Get out while you can. Happily I have a little boy now, and I basically have no friends now except for the guy I just mentioned. And to be honest I prefer it that way. This shit really hit me hard. Thank you if you read this far, feels good to tell my story to random people on the internet!
