F22 Raptors launch for Middle East and other fighter jets get busy for the day 🇺🇸 🇬🇧

- Twelve F-22 Raptors of the US Air Force depart the UK for a deployment to the Middle East in response to trouble in the region. Two C17 Globemasters are also featured transporting equipment, and fighter jets based at RAF Lakenheath.
Twelve F-22 Raptor Advanced Tactical Fighters from Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska stopped at RAF Lakenheath on Tuesday, 6th August, before then departing on Thursday, 8th August. The air superiority fighter jets, built to be stealthy, are being deployed to the Middle East as part of the US government's response to rising tensions in the region. A Carrier Strike Group, an Amphibious Ready Group, other aircraft, and assets are also being deployed.
Hundreds of aviation enthusiasts and interested parties gathered at the RAF Lakenheath viewing area on the Suffolk/Norfolk border to watch the 5th generation fighter planes take off. The aircraft departed on Thursday morning. Various F15 Strike Eagles and F35 Lightning IIs based at RAF Lakenheath also departed for local training. The deployment of F22s is being supported by KC-46 Pegasus fuel tankers and C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft (seen at the end).

I don't think I've ever seen a fighter jet in my life in the United States. I've seen a crapload of c5 galaxy and B52s though (I used to live near Travis AFB).
Go to Nellis during Red Flag. About as good as we get here.

@@dpelpal I live in Virginia Beach, and they are all we hear throughout the day. Plus, I see Air Force One doing touch and go's at Newport News airport when I'm there. About 10 years ago a jet crashed into apartment building when he was on approach from a carrier. My apartment was facing that apartment building so when I got home from work, our street looked foreign. I love this country, and the jets are the sound of freedom but damn, in VA beach, it's constant and gets so annoying. I have been mad so many times because of jets being so loud. I also lived on an Island in the Chesapeake Bay called Gwynn's Island. The jets go north from Va beach and go up to the island and get really close to the beach and circle the island. It's cool to watch that but they stopped doing that when I was really young. It's crazy you have never seen a jet. I see them daily. I also see a lot of Subs coming in the Bay and carriers docked at Norfolk Naval base. It's cool seeing it from the sky from a commercial jet. So many subs, Battleships and Carriers. If we were ever invaded, this would be THE spot it all happens.

I was trained in RAF Locking as a foreign student. I have travelled to several RAF Air Force bases for football and badminton competitions. I am very impressed with modern fighters like F22, F35, F15EX, F4 Rafael, Typhoon.

*I grew up in Virginia Beach and saw all the Oceana traffic from 1977 to 2001.* Langley was nearby, but you never really saw many Air Force vehicles. I do wish I had visited more. The F-15 was my favorite aircraft, but I rarely saw it.

I remember when I was a 22 year old kid seeing the F-22 for the first time on tv in 1997 when it took it's maiden flight . I thought it looked like some futuristic fighter aircraft out of a sci-fi movie that some alien race built especially flying next to the F-16 chase aircraft. Even today it still looks that way to me next to other fighter aircraft and can't believe the Raptor is over 25 years old but wow is it a good looking fighter. @@Johnnysixpac F-22 and F-35 will be used like to direct missiles from other platforms that can't get close enough to guide weapons in themselves with a contested air space. The F-15's will basically carry and launch huge volumes of missiles from far away while the Stealth jets can then guide the weapons on a data link and not expose the F-15's or themselves.
The new F15x is a beast. Can hold it's own. When it enters the airspace....all the others run for cover. But yea....the F22...it ain't even fair. During war games, one F22 took out five F15s before they even knew what was happening. Just no fair ...and we're both lucky for it eh!

@@Johnnysixpac The most recent software for the Military is an entire ecosystem now, air/ground assets can scan, target, communicate and share data with each other so what the F-35's role is to sneak in and obtain targeting data undetected that it'll then share with the whole "fleet". F15s can carry a ton of missiles, so an F-35 or 22 can target something dozens if not hundreds of miles ahead and an F-15 can fire say one of the new long range missles completely at a safe distance, allows the F-35 to remain stealth during target engagements

F22’s are like wolverines, mean and looking for a fight. There was a wing at Holloman for awhile, getting fitted with Sperry electronics. What a show.
I finally saw an F-35A demonstration at an air show and oh my god was that loud.(which I love). I loved hearing that fifth gen Afterburners power. Made me appreciate the aircraft more. I read that the F-35 engine is about 4 times louder than the f-16, which I imagine would make it about twice as loud as an f-15.

Great video.. always had the F15s and Typhoons as my faves, especially watching them around the mach loop but these Raptors are just another level. They make the 35s look tiny.
Have you ever watched one in an airshow? It’s an unbelievable airplane.
When they scramble all together F-15, F-22 and F-35 you know they’re getting serious 👹
they are a lot faster than what you see on the screen they can break the sound barrier like cutting through paper.
The point is, obviously, a show of force to the world. That America is prepared to kick ass.

Just saying for people who've never been in the military. Or don't quite understand what's going on... This is ALL orchestrated.
There's two things when it comes to military force. You can either have "capability" and keep it all secret. As in these jets could have come in at night, taken off at night, etc.
Or have "capability" with, more importantly, a bucket load of "deterrence". This is clearly a "show of force" with a message to the bad guys that this is what you're going to face, if you mess with us.

A lot of the bad guys who may or may not see this display of force are motivated by martyrdom.

Remember, swapping to your secondary F22 is always faster than reloading your primary.
