I simply love this gentleman's voice :D. And if you are in a hurry, you can apply 1.25x speed to it.

After listening the Darwinex podcast "Martyn Tinsley: Coding Games at 14..." I realized this guy is practically me, just on a different place on this planet. Same age, same hobby at 12 (C64, coding), love for mathematics all the time. Then turned to be an aspiring trader while working, "burning the midnight oil", then realizing that discretionary trading does not fit his style, and finally turning to algorithmic trading.

Thanks Martyn for sharing your experience in strategy building. Before know your playlist I in the past tested 122 different combination of indicators. I found few to be working on multiple symbols in default settings and doing well in the walk forward out of sample as well. Does your advice in the vedio means that I shouldn't consider them and I have to start over by first learning about each and pick those that in theory should work? What should I do with the combinations that I found? BTW all my backtesting were on Daily chart which is my fav time frame and performed over 15 years (backword) and the last 4 years (walk forward). Thanks

How many indicators do you recommend to use as a maximum for trading system? I'm using 4 indicators now for a trend system, is that too much? 1 as a trigger, 2 as filter and 1 moving average.

Hello, i find it really really hard to design a system that works on many fx pairs at the same time. How many indicators do you think i should use? Even on those who did work, with 3 indicators (1 ma, 1 filter and 1 trigger), i only het a profit factor of around 1.05-1.1 and 2-3 of above 1.2. Is this the nature of fx trading, or is my algo just weak? I backtested on 6 years of historical data to get these figures.

I’m guilty for mashing Indicators together...🥺

We've all been there! But taking a more considered approach will pay dividends :)

These videos are so simplistic.. You will never be able to beat the market with these simple rules. It would be interesting if you provide more advanced considerations, these ones are very basic

These videos are aimed to be simplistic. It is not necessary to tell a seasoned trader to apply logic and patience. But to beat a market, you should start somewhere and I assume Darwinex needs new clients and they need them en masse.
