Quick advice. that sinker sliding on your main line is easy way to chafe your line and breakoff.. especially during casting and laying in the sand. here in galveston we use a 2 part leader. take 5ft mono. cut it at 3 1/2 ft. put swivel at top, put your sliding weight on. swivel at bottom. then crimp your hook on the shorter line you cut off. then crimp that to your swivel at the end of other leader.
what these gentelman showed on his video :not a fancy long rod,a regular not expensive fishing reel, a simple bait rig,be calm and have skill, all you need for e right funny fishing! Tight lines baby, have fun!!
Hey BBB, can you do a quick vid on how you made your rigs for the reds. Hooks, leader, terminal, weight, etc..etc...Can’t quite make everything out. I’ve just been using a pomp rig with bigger circle hooks. And yes, I’m a newbie to surf fishing.
Hi, Mr. I am from 香港,I like yours Show very much! Every day I am learning from yours fishing skiIl! But,In HK if fishing at the beach , though fishes are very small, about few ozs !👍✌✌
I had only ever caught a black drum on cut bait once in my life then last weekend I caught 2 on cut bait in the same day!!! I think when they're thick and just rummaging the bottom they'll just happen to scoop it up sometimes. Nice video bro
U should get a conventional rod combo for surf fishing as well especially if fishing with cut bait . also if i could use more conventional rods than spinning rods for surf fishing
Love your channel. Watch it every day. Why are you not using bait runner reals. After trying one I will never order a real that doesn't have a bait runner.
Very nice... We have been finding a lot of Snook and Flounder over by the east central coast of Florida. Have not seen any Big Reds for the past few months... Enjoy your videos. Keep them coming. Check out my last adventure if you can find the time. Just this past weekend. th-cam.com/video/NLXFVpGTUyY/w-d-xo.html Thank you for sharing!
It was definitely a fun morning with plenty of heavy weight fish to keep the line tight and drag screaming. Thanks for the shout out
I had a good Guide!
Yes sir bull red season is here... cant wait to make the escape this weekend
Loved y’all two fishing together!

Thanks for sharing ‘how’ you set up to fish. We can all learn from what terminal tackle you use, the time of year, etc. Great video, as always.
Nice to see my two favorite GS/OB TH-camrs out together.
Ninja Dagger handled that fish like a champ!! Awesome Catch!!!

Love to hear that drag rollin', seeing the rods bent over. Nice fish all around!!
Nothing wakes you up in the morning quite like a red or Black drum on sort-of light tackle......Great video as always.👍

Good to see mad dog out.
The Ninja Dagger can get it done..we do really well with them here on the OBX Hatteras.
That the way I set up my leader with a slip swivel! When using cut bait. Thx for the video! Looks like you had a fun time!

Heading down this weekend with my son hoping to get his first bull hope the weather is good

U can use plastic lure by this rod????
Is there a place down there that sells mullet to use as bait? Or a good place/strategy to catch some without a cast net?
Hooked up sells frozen. But fresh is always best
Ive caught black drum on a spook jr a few times.
What size weight do you use?
Wow great catch!
Ive found big reds and black Drum fight much less from the beach than they do the jetty. Dunno why.
caught a 33 inch black drum today, the 14 inch flounder(7) I was catching where fighting a lot more

Bama Beach Bum thanks man! Awesome videos. Would you be willing to do a surf shark fishing video?
I wrote that last comment before I saw the second black drum on the video LMAO
Awesome day brother how about a fall pompano report please
Being a flatland fisherman from Indiana, how far do you cast with that set up to get to deep enough water?
Just depends. These fish were actually hanging right on the bar in about 18-24” of water

I got skunked at Fort Morgan on Sunday morning 😕 not even a hard head
That is a fish finder rig
I went red fish fishing and got caught deep in the stomach with a trouble hook and pulled
It out with plyers
I already had one and jt wasn't rusty it was new
Lol
Can you keep these fish that big, and can you eat them?
We can keep one over slot here in bama, but they aren’t the best to eat
Good eating? I just finished a plate of Striped Bass.
Not this big
