So I just found this first episode of Promise in my TH-cam recommendations and I watched it. Now I gotta watch these two separate short films to understand Phu separating from Nan?? That's too complicated 😫 No thanks
WOW, WOW, WOW. I saw the two episodes linked above in the order you put them. What an amazing story of love. By the time I got to the end of Nanfah, I was crying like a baby. Oooops, that is a ménage à trois, not certain at this moment they are available. Great clip, excellent actors from the first to the last two. The theme of normalising, and the social acceptance of guy/guy coupling, takes issue over against the theme that desexualising/castrating the male actors. The absence of any hint that there s more to a guy/guy coupling that validates a wholesomeness to physical affection, such as one would have seen in a guy/gal couple, raises the issue of guilt for lust. While the angelic quality of the male characters is so attractive, Freud made clear that sexual drive is a major part of human motivation. There is not, nor should there be, any censure by omission
I'm sad I didn't knew about it before but I'm glad I found it. I watched two short films and I cried so much. In this world of tonnes of bl , there's only few quality bl. Only few got good directions, good story, good acting. And this drama got all. Even those child actors were superb. Good job.

I have been waiting a long time for this series and it didn't disappoint me 😊. Amazing first episode but boy oh boy I can see the problems coming a mile away. Phu is going to have a lot of explaining to do about his disappearance of 10 years. I can't wait to watch the next episode 😍.

I think I remember coming across this series a while back. I've been busy. Seeing the 1st EP, I'm glad I decided to click on it. I like it. They lost each other along the way when they were younger for reasons not known yet. When Nan heard Phu's voice and they turned to each other, the look in their eyes, got me to think this was a series I wanted to watch.
The Series getting me excited, remind me of We Best Love S2... The Years after being separated is same i think, 9 or 10 years...

I felt so bad for Nan. He has been missing Phu for so many years, even writing to him, not letting go of that hope that he might write back, taking sleeping pills because he just couldn’t sleep, having a heart that felt so much longing it was unbearable and he looked for him, going to Melbourne after 3 years. For 10 years, he has been feeling nothing more than loneliness, he isolated himself, not making friends, it was like his life stopped while Phu was living his as if Nan didn’t exist. I hope this has angst and I don’t want spoilers, but I hope Phu suffers now and face all the things he caused to someone who was suffering so much for so long. And the saddest part is that Phu was just reading all those mails from Nan, he knew what he was going through yet did nothing to ease that heart, to let him know somehow that he was with him even though he wasn’t physically there. He just didn’t reach out. But you can tell there’s love between Phu and Nan 48:06 and that Nan will forgive him.
This series has such a great cinematography at the beginning, it really felt like watching a movie. The locations, the scenery, the colors, the people from the past, all really played part of the past and you could see it was the year 2000, then how time passed and you could see a change in the environment and how the people behaved in modern times. They nailed the passing of time and the acting is really good. It also delivers well the funny scenes, not being too much. Love how it addressed the LGBT topic with the granny not minding who his grandson dates 25:41 and the marriage equality 25:54. It also showed a great relationship between Phu and his grandma 34:12 and I love how this a-hole was punished 30:29 after he said that when a woman says no, she may be unsure, like WTF? No is a full sentence, no means NO! 😞

I've been a BL fan for so long, nothing excites me anymore. Lately, i've been skipping a lot of BL series because most of them are boring me. There is really a scarcity of good material to watch.
But oh boy! This series just popped up in TH-cam recommendation. And it made me curious. I don't even have any idea about the cast nor seen the trailer. Yet I gave this a try.
And I have to thank the powers that be at TH-cam for showing this on recommendations. First episode and I am hooked! Now I want more!!!

คงไม่พูดเกินไปถ้าจะบอกว่า ซีรีย์วายเรื่องนี้เป็นเรื่องที่ดูแล้วสนุกที่สุด วนดูซ้ำบ่อยที่สุดเป็น The Best ของเราเลย ใครยกให้เรื่องไหนเป็น The Best เราไม่รู้แต่เรื่องนี้คือ The Best ของเรา ดำเนินเรื่องดีตั้งแต่ต้นจนจบ เคมีกุนเกี๊ยกดีสุดๆ แบบเพื่อนแมนๆคบกัน เวลาเขามีความรู้สึกดีๆให้กันนะคนดูรู้สึกว่าฟินได้สุดกว่าคู่ที่ ดูอีกคนนึงออกสาวนุ่มนิ่มด้วย เรื่องนี้ไม่เสิร์ฟฉาก NC เยอะแยะมากมายด้วย บทละครก็สมเหตุสมผลมากๆ มีความลงทุนสูง นักแสดงทั้งเรื่องแสดงดีกันหมดนะ นี่แหละคือซีรีย์วายที่อยากเห็น ไม่ใช่แบบที่เอะอะอะไรก็ยัดเยียดฉากกอดกันจูบกันหรือล้มจ้องตากัน อะไรทำให้คนดูพยายามจะฟินแต่มันไม่ฟินนะเอาจริงๆแล้วอ่ะ การดำเนินเรื่องไปเรื่อยๆแบบนี้แหละ ฟินกว่า ค่อยๆให้เห็นความสัมพันธ์ของทั้งสองคนไปเรื่อยๆ แล้วเราจะเข้าใจว่าทำไมเขาถึงรักกันมากมายได้ขนาดนี้ ที่เรื่องมันไม่จบง่ายสักทีเพราะอีกคนนึงปากแข็งไม่ยอมพูดนี่แหละเอาแต่หนีอย่างเดียว เพราะกลัวว่าถ้าบอกไปจะเสียเพื่อน แต่จริงๆแล้วทั้งสองคนต่างคนต่างรักกันมากมายมันเป็นความรักที่คนดูรู้สึกสัมผัสถึงความสุข เหตุนี้แหละทำให้เรื่องนี้วนดูไม่ต่ำกว่า 10 รอบแล้ว เพราะมีความประทับใจในเนื้อเรื่องเรารู้สึกได้ถึงความรักที่ทั้งสองคนมีให้กันจริงๆ และนักแสดงนำทั้งสองคนก็ถ่ายทอดความรู้สึกนั้นให้คนดูสัมผัสได้จริงๆ ยอมรับเลยว่าคุณทั้งสองคนเก่งมาก สนับสนุนซีรีย์วายแบบนี้และควรทำออกมาแนวนี้กันเยอะๆไม่ควรเอะอะอะไรก็แนวมหาลัยเดือนคนนั้นไปเกี้ยวกับเดือนคนนี้อะไรก็ไม่รู้ วุ่นวายเวิ่นเว้อไม่พ้นเรื่องรักๆใคร่ๆอย่างเดียว ซีรีย์วายที่ดีมันควรจะมีส่วนอื่นประกอบด้วยบทอย่าอ่อนเกินไปและทำมาดูถูกคนดูเกินไป หลายเรื่องนะเกิน 70-80 เปอร์เซ็นต์เลยคือแบบว่า ซึ่งก็ไม่มีอะไรสุดท้ายก็ยัด NC มาฉ่ำๆ ช่วงหลังๆซีรีย์วายของค่าย GMM ดีหน่อยที่เริ่มลดฉาก NC ลงแล้วไปเน้นที่เนื้อเรื่องมากขึ้นทำให้ซีรี่วายของค่ายนี้ดูมีระดับดูมีคุณค่ามากขึ้น ค่ายเล็กค่ายน้อยอื่นๆที่ไม่ได้เป็นของค่าย GMM ก็ส่วนใหญ่ยังอะไรก็ไม่รู้อยู่นะ ถ้าผ่านมาเห็นข้อความตรงนี้ฝากหน่อยนะว่าพัฒนา Series วายหน่อยเถอะอย่าสักแต่จะทำออกมาเลย ไม่จำเป็นว่าจะต้องยัดฉาก NC อะไรมากมายแต่ช่วยเขียนบทและตั้งใจกำกับนักแสดง ให้แสดงออกมาให้มันดีหน่อยเหอะ แค่นี้ก็ยอมพลีใจถวายให้ซีรีย์วายหมดหัวใจแล้ว ขอแค่ทำถึงทำให้รู้สึกว่าอยากกลับมาดูซ้ำหลายๆรอบแบบเรื่องนี้ทำได้ไหมล่ะ
