The theme song still gives me chills how many yrs later. I remember ever Tues night at 7pm watching this show as a kid. Maybe that's how I became interested in emergency medicine 20 yrs ago. I've been an emt for 20 yrs and I've worked in the er for awhile now as a medical assistant and i love it!!!!
These shows have been making me cry for 30 minutes! Programs today make my stomach actually sick, usually off in thirty minutes I love that paramedic, always listen to that “ little voice “. It’s the Lord
This thread has multiple nasty comments that have no purpose. Obviously Melissa was not ASKING FOR PEOPLE TO BE HURT UNLIKE TWO PEOPLE IN THIS THREAD SEEM TO INSINUATE, it's just a matter of updating the show with HEROIC EVENTS OF COMMON PEOPLE IN TRYING SITUATIONS. Sheesh, lay off Call of Duty or whatever the hell it is you've stuck your head into.
Plenty of people did. You're just not looking at the cases where parents told their kids "no." I wasn't given a Go-Kart until I was around 10, but even then, I never messed with it until we fixed it. I only remember driving it around, very little, when I was 15.
Dawn Conti itd be hard to establish an airway. The helmet would've pushed her head forward and cut it off. They couldve put towels or something behind her shoulders. But getting her oxygen and giving her a chance in this case was more important in this case. I will agree that you shouldn't remove a helmet unless they arent breathing and know cpr, or you have the taining to remove it.
You guys are kidding right. That's what they are stressing whether to remove it or not the helmet I mean. And they finally did because it's life over limb. Great EMTs you are I'd be dead with you, hey but at least I'd die with my legs fully functional thanks.
After the accident, the little girl that was hurt looked calm and seemingly asleep which was creepy considering that she screamed in fear right before the accident.
Always slow down while going downhill or you'll never know what's down there out of nowhere just like what the hell happened to those 2 girls on their go kart
Some parts of Pennsylvania allow ATVs to ride on roads... However, I don't know the specifics of the laws. They might only be areas marked with specific road signs I've seen. This wasn't always legal.
I would like to know what happened to those people who were saved in this series today. They must be around my age or older... they've given second chance in life, I wonder what they do with it.
For anyone else who has a morbid curiosity, this took place on the east side of Stonelake Trail SW in Lilburn, GA - just north of the north tennis court. If you look at the street view, you can see the gap in the trees where the go-cart came across. It still looks like it did in the video.
those kids should have never been allowed to ride the go cat with out adult supervision. no disrespect intended but the parents made a bad judgement call. go carts like four Wheeler s can be very dangerous.
We need more paramedics like the one interviewed in this story - that "Little Voice" is the Holy Spirit, telling him what to do to save the lives of the people in his stewardship. I have no doubt that if he had put the neckbrace on Trista, then it would've forced a seperation in her spinal cord and killed her. Instead, she gets to keep on living and even to defy her doctors' expectations, all because her paramedic listened to the Holy Spirit and followed His promptings ❤
Sue Botta, I disagree about the driver, if two children come straight across in front of you there is not a lot you can do. If anyone is at fault it is the parents allowing them to ride on the road no matter how little traffic it has.
yes but they are also dangerous. I can relate to that because I was once riding a go kart and I ran into a barb wired fence. I am lucky to be alive. That was during my middle school years.
If this happened In this generation they would have been on cell phones as soon as soon as they were aware of what happened. If the truck was made in this decade it could have had a sensor to stop itself To prevent this from happening. We come to realize we did not have cell phones yet and vehicles did not have safety features like we have today.
Yes, this incident occurred in 1988, the show was made in 1993, & it was during 1994 that cell phones became more widely used. Maybe cell phones were developed as early as the 70s-I don't know-but there were no towers so it was not an employed technology. There were car phones-check out Richard Diamond, PI, but they operated by radio waves & were fairly rare.

That's so awesome that you became an EMT and then a medical because of this show! Thank you for doing what you do helping those out in need!
Rescue 911 was on the air April 18,1989-August 27,1996.
i loved this show as a kid. theme song is so catchy
Yeah bro. Your right
That's so true to wear a helmet
I love this show
I always love it when they include the good version of the theme song!
These shows have been making me cry for 30 minutes! Programs today make my stomach actually sick, usually off in thirty minutes
I love that paramedic, always listen to that “ little voice “. It’s the Lord
Or guardian angel
This prove always makes make sure look both ways thank god for the neighbors.
The 80's called and they want their regularly scheduled programming back.
I wish they would put new episodes of this show on tv
Melissa Slutter its not the 90s
A 21st Century edition would be a possibility.
Melissa Slutter same
Melissa Slutter nothing can beat theses classics though

I miss watching this show wish they would bring it back.
Thank God for those people that came to help
When will people realize that kids and vehicles (cars, go-karts, atvs, etc) are a dangerous combination?
Plenty of people did. You're just not looking at the cases where parents told their kids "no." I wasn't given a Go-Kart until I was around 10, but even then, I never messed with it until we fixed it. I only remember driving it around, very little, when I was 15.
At least they were wearing helmets
Yes! The helmets definitely saved her from her head being crushed
Goodness this child lived she can still be with her sister
Love rescue 911...wish we have that in my country Philippines! You guys are amazing! God bless you all
NEVER remove a helmet after an accident. wait till paramedics arrive. you can do much damage if you do it wrong.
I am a former E.M.T.
+Dawn Conti yes i agree i have decent training and still dont like moving people unless they are in immediate danger
you are obivously deaf, she was a RN registered nurse
Dawn Conti itd be hard to establish an airway. The helmet would've pushed her head forward and cut it off. They couldve put towels or something behind her shoulders. Dawn Conti im an EMT and same
I'm planning on building a go-kart with a roll cage this summer, but after seeing this I'm going to make it EXTRA THICC
After the accident, the little girl that was hurt looked calm and seemingly asleep which was creepy considering that she screamed in fear right before the accident.
Hopefully you realize this was a re-enactment and not a recorded video of the actual accident...
8:30 dam that ambulance 🚑 is moving fast around that Chevy. Lol.
I really! Feel like it's a miracle that both of the young girls survived this accident ❤
Alternate title:
"Why Toad's Turnpike is unrealistic..."
This is from Episode 318 "Go-Kart Girl" and happened 26 years ago in March 1988
Davin Peterson now it’s 31 years ago! My nephew was born March of 88
The segment is called "Freeway The Fawn".
What a miracle.
Thanks for uploading!!!
Her first mistake was the decision to go down that hill and coming out of no where
Always slow down while going downhill or you'll never know what's down there out of nowhere just like what the hell happened to those 2 girls on their go kart
These things are illegal to drive on streets anyway. I'm surprised their mom let them ride that in the road.
Maybe not.
+bartsimpson67543 cant drive ATV in my state on the roads. But people do it every day!
+bartsimpson67543 it was probably legal when this was filmed
Some parts of Pennsylvania allow ATVs to ride on roads... However, I don't know the specifics of the laws. They might only be areas marked with specific road signs I've seen. This wasn't always legal.
This was in a different time period.
I would like to know what happened to those people who were saved in this series today. They must be around my age or older... they've given second chance in life, I wonder what they do with it.
Glad everyone is okay
I'm happy for her
I. want. rescue. ,911. back. on
It's on Justice Channel
I really wish this show is on dvd
That girl should have listened to her instincts and stayed off the go-kart.
I love this show so much
I agree they should bring the show back I know be my family watched it when it was on regular TV and I think William Shatner should come back with it
Why did they use a grown woman to play Trista in the hospital?
That’s what I thought! Actually it looked more like a doll because the limbs were unnaturally stiff and shiny like plastic lol
For anyone else who has a morbid curiosity, this took place on the east side of Stonelake Trail SW in Lilburn, GA - just north of the north tennis court. If you look at the street view, you can see the gap in the trees where the go-cart came across. It still looks like it did in the video.
I want Rescue 911 back on
Back when the world was still normal! 🌎
2019 anyone?
Edit: 2020 anyone?
Kayla I think nope! 😐
Yep yep
Wow Gwinnett county used to be that rural lol not the case anymore
what about the other girl like 😔
This is why you don’t play on the road
Glad she was okay.
those kids should have never been allowed to ride the go cat with out adult supervision.
no disrespect intended but the parents made a bad judgement call.
go carts like four Wheeler s can be very dangerous.
think about the driver too
The driver wasn't paying attention.
mow4ncry why?
Danm thing came out right in front of him, so how do you think he could stop?
Que lindo como le dan aire.
If you slowmotion the impact you can see the wheel that comes off is flat and bent and missing two bolts to hold the wheel on
Because it's a reanactment.
Tell me your parents didn’t teach you good enough without telling me.
I miss watching this show wish they would bring it back?
Two things
1 Don't speed
2 Don't drive across the road on go Kart like that my sister when she was 11 didn't do that she's 13 now.
now 15
The girls were young at the time now they like in their 30’s or 40’s today
This was definitely another level of an auto collision

she should of not stopped in front of the car she should of kept going maybe the car would of missed her
It was the drivers fault not theirs
Sue Botta, I disagree about the driver, if two children come straight across in front of you there is not a lot you can do. If anyone is at fault it is the parents allowing them to ride on the road no matter how little traffic it has.
coolstephers this is over three years ago so I hope you know the difference between of and have
Sue Botta they came out of nowhere and he stopped as soon as he saw them but the momentum kept the car going
Linda Andrews it’s no one’s fault, it’s an accident, though they should have looked if the road is clear first
Jesus she survived an internal decapitation what a legend
I grew up with this show at mom and dad of the town of Moorhead Iowa my steerer is now mired in the town of disesen Iowa
question, why didn’t he put on a cervix collar?
I wonder how the girls doing today
go karts are fun
yes but they are also dangerous. I can relate to that because I was once riding a go kart and I ran into a barb wired fence. I am lucky to be alive.
That was during my middle school years.
It's ironic that you say that considering you named yourself the headless horseman more like the headless gokart women😂
Shasta Storm 😂
If you riding a bike or non motor vehicle, watch out for hills, definitely when it comes down to wooden vehicles, it won't stop going down the hill,
What kind of neighbor hood has people that have enough money o buy every kid a go cart?
kids should not be on the road.AT ALL
What about the other girl
She was ok
The man that hit them I would have screamed at him he seemed far enough away to see the kids
He did try to stop it, he saw them but the truck unfortunately still drifted and hit them. Not his fault
At least he didn’t just go and drive off
good job
After a head injury like that you should never remove the helmet. Because it is keeping her head in place and it is keeping it still.
Did the other girl go to the hospital?
The other one was freeway fawn
Fuck 2017 I want to go back to the 80s and 90s
god bless
If this happened In this generation they would have been on cell phones as soon as soon as they were aware of what happened. If the truck was made in this decade it could have had a sensor to stop itself To prevent this from happening. thats a nice looking go kart, wonder if it is still around or if it got trashed after the incident
.......
....
After an accident like that, I'm sure the kart got trashed
What video is that at the end of the video the one with the deer? I would like to watch that one.
Heather Simmons
Rescue 911- Freeway the Fawn
That was also a car accident
Yep. It was the girls who are at fault for going downhill very fast and they should've slowed down before they crashed someone on purpose
The driver turning probly saved them
@@will1223141 the main thing that saved Trista's life was her helmet
These old episode are Pluto tv
LG everyone is okay
It would be good if it didn't have the ads in it but still good
The mother reminds me of Kate Monday from Mathnet.
Least they were wearing helmets ⛑
There's one thing that I don't get. Why is that guy at the beginning of episodes always there?
He's the host who provides narrations and setup details for each story.
You mean TJ Hooker? He's a retired police officer doing host/ voice over narration work I guess...
Andrew S Sure they aren't referring to William Shatner? lol
These are also re-enactments of what happened
hosts usually narrate shows like this
I mean why did she stop in the middle of the road she should have pushed the petal an went without problems.
June 1996
they don't care about the other girl
I know what about her
Probably because she was awake, alert, and trying to free herself.
the other girl was ok
Bc the other girl wasn't hurt she was breathing fine ik this comment is old
Brooke Perkins yes they do, they just had to work with the hurt girl first, I'm sure they were asking if she was ok, this is just an reeinactment
why not throw the truck in neutral and push it back?
It's on a hill. Dummy. The truck would run them over
no cell phones back then
had one bag phone
Yes, this incident occurred in 1988, the show was made in 1993, & it was during 1994 that cell phones became more widely used.

Cell phones were in their infancy then.
rescue 911 been on 31 years 1989-2020
Is this movie made in Great Falls?
Back when kids played outside. The good old days, now we kill their brains with video games
2018??????
Lotta good the helmets did
Rescue 911 will be 35 year's Anniversary April 18 2024
They should not drive on the road
Is the truck OK?
Lol
Seriously not funny
-_-
Wtf is worng with you
They could have died from the accident stop being rude
You should watch out for children
Just say "Vehicle" or "truck" rather than "Chevy this" or "Chevy that" - sounds like an advertisement for chevies. (and i do like Chevrolet)
This wuz scary!
4:43 ha. A Ford Aerostar! Lol. Pile of junk!
Irresponsible parenting
12:26 What is the name of the highway episode?
Freeway the fawn
If the Chevy braked much earlier...
